Banner Pillars

The Idea:
Spread easily identifiable pillars into the wilderness, give players possibility to place any of the existing banners there (or take other banners down).
Just a simple menu popping up on using the pillar and giving all available options.

Lets go crazy:
  • Make putting up pillars require crafted stuff. Tailoring is horribly underappreciated right now. Maybe make the banners items themselves that have to be crafted beforehand.

    Add in a price in coin for changing a banner, if you want a money sink. Maybe make it cheaper to change more recently changed banners to encourage conflict over terretory.

    Sooner or later someone is going to do a worldmap, like there was in the old client. How about coloring the area of a pillar in the respective colour? Maybe even put that map of current 'terretory control' on the website. (Pillars could be somehow connected to the gems of power, with one map laying openly at every settlement, for matters of explanation.)

Note: I'd actually go for placing the banners facing down-left instead, as the shadow right of the banners would not weirdly fall onto nothingness.
