Fellow Illarionites,

the Illarion developers pursuit completion of Milestone I these days. As this milestone contains mostly client issues, there is some potential manpower to work on other issues as well. To assign priorities to the other issues, I'd like to ask you for your opinion! To make sure that us developers work on the issues you, the players, deem most pressing, please nominate your top three issues by providing the corresponding links to Mantis tasks. As the surplus manpower is available for Game Content and Database work, only, please do not nominate tasks of other projects.

Post the links to three such tickets out of the projects Game Content and Database here. If you cannot find a ticket that covers your issue after using the search function, create a new ticket as needed. die Entwickler arbeiten derzeit hart daran, den ersten Entwicklungsmeilenstein von Illarion zu vervollständigen. Da in diesem Meilenstein in erster Linie Clientprobleme zu beheben sind, haben wir etwas Manpower über, um an anderen Dingen zu arbeiten. Um die Prioritäten richtig einschätzen zu können, bitte ich euch um eure Meinung! Damit wir Entwickler auch wirklich an den Dingen arbeiten, die euch wichtig sind, nominiert bitte eure Top 3-Probleme und verlinkt die entsprechenden Mantis-Tickets. Da die Manpower nur für "Game Content" und "Database"-Arbeiten zur Verfügung steht, nominiert nur Tickets aus diesen beiden Projekten.

I think this makes a decently large aspect of a character's advancement immediately apparent, and gives them a more "traditional MMO" goal to work towards, when they're working to that, they can immerse themselves in pretending to be an elf with a mysterious past

In Mantis hab ich nix besonderes gefunden. Statt technischer Details sollten doch lieber Funktionalitäten verbessert oder vorgeschlagen werden.

Hier meine Top 3 - (vielleicht mag ja jemand daraus Mantis Einträge erstellen ..):

1) Verbesserung der Character Steuerung mit der Maus
Aktuell: Ich klicke auf die Map und der Char läuft nicht an die gewünschte Position sondern zum Baum / Berg / etc, eben das was ich zufällig erwischt habe.
Das ist besonders in bergigen Gebieten oder in Wäldern extrem lästig, wenn es auf schnelle und halbwegs exakte Positionierung ankommt, z.B. in Dungeons, Schatzsuchen, Schlachten, etc.
Gewünscht: Der Char wird an die Position (also Projektion des Mauszeigers auf den Boden) bewegt und nicht zu dem angeklickten Item.
Für mich wäre es auch okay, wenn dazu neben "Left-Click" noch eine zusätzliche Taste gedrückt werden müsste, z.B. Shift, Ctrl, ...

2) Trinken und Essen während Kampf
Aktuell: Kampfmodus ist aktiv und beim Doppelclick auf ein Nahrungsmittel / Getränk / Potion nichts passiert ausser dass eine unnützen Meldung erscheint ("Du kannst beim Kämpfen nicht essen" oder ähnlich).
Häufig ist es gerade in brenzligen Situationen so, dass sich der Kampfmodus nicht deaktivieren lässt und dadurch wertvolle Sekunden verloren gehen.
Geghostet zu werden ist ja prinzipiell nicht mehr so schlimm, dennoch nervt die ca. 30 minütige Wiederbelebungszeit und die hohen Kosten für die Reparaturen.
Zweiteres ist insbesondere für einen reinen Kampfchar sehr unangenehm.
Gewünscht: Kampfmodus wird automatisch deaktiviert und die Nahrungsaufnahme / Getränk / Potion wird eingenommen. Danach muss der Kampfmodus manuell wieder aktiviert werden.
Ideal wären natürlich Hotkeys, mit dem direkt bestimmte Items aktiviert werden könnten - ist aber eher zweitrangig.

3) Hier schwanke ich zwischen
3a) Aktuell: Das ständige Ggequatsche der NPCs ist extrem nervig und belästigt das RP
Gewünscht: Mit einem bestimmten Kommando, z.B. der Char sagt "Halt die Klappe", schweigen alle NPCs für einen bestimmten Zeitraum (z.B. 10 Minuten)
3b) Aktuell: Man greift einen magisches Monster an. Alle (!) Angreifer werden von seinen Angriffen getroffen. Irgendwann beginnt das Monster herumzuteleportieren.
Der Kampfmodus geht verloren. Man muss wie blöd hinterher rennen, um das Monster irgendwie doch noch platt zu bekommen.
Das macht keinen Spaß, auch wenn man es besiegt. Und noch weniger Spaß macht es, wenn der Char dabei draufgeht
Gewünscht: Es wird nur ein Gegner angegriffen. Das Teleportieren wird eingeschränkt. Der Kampfmodus bleibt erhalten.
Hierbei sollte auch gleich mitgefixt werden, dass der Kampfmodus auch beim Anrempeln an andere Chars / Monster / Map-Items (?, bin mir nicht 100% sicher) deaktiviert wird.

1) Improve character steering via mouse
Current: Left click on the map moves the character to an unclear position. If you are lucky, it is a tile. Else its a tree, mountain, etc. which is many tiles away from the position you wanted
This is very inconvenient in mountain areas, woods, etc, where quick and exact positioning is necessary: dungeons, treasure hunts, wars, etc.
Wanted: The character is positioned exactly at the position where left clicked on the map. Projection of the mouse to the ground and not to the clicked map item.
Also okay, if this could be performed with additional key besides left click, e.g. shift, ctrl, etc.

2) Eating and drinking during fighting
Current: Fighting mode is active. The double click on food / drink - only a useless message appears
Deactivating in precarious situations often does not work. Valuable seconds are lost, which may decide about beeing ghosted or not.
Wanted: Automatic deactivating of the fighting mode, food / drink is consumed. After that, fighting has to be activated again manually.
Ideal wären natürlich Hotkeys, mit dem direkt bestimmte Items aktiviert werden könnten - ist aber eher zweitrangig.

3a) Shut up a NPC
Current: The jabbering of the NPCs nervs and disturbs role play.
Wanted: The NPC reacts on some key words, e.g. "Shut up" and is quiete for a certain time span, e.g. 10 minutes

3b) Magic monsters nerving behavior
Current: Your character attack a magic monster. All (!) attackers are hit by its spells. After a while the monster begins to teleport around. Fighting mode gets lost. The players sillily have to run behind the monsters to finally get it down. Thats no fun, in case you win. Thats really annoying, if your character gets ghosted during that action.
Wanted: Only one random attacker get hit by the monsters spell. Teleport is reduced. Fighting mode keeps.
Additionally please fix also, that the fighting mode keeps, if your character bumps into athers / monsters / map-items (unsure)

I couldn't find it, but the armor attributes need to be adjusted...
The lvl 100 armor having the same defense vs the weakness being the same as lvl 0 armor. (Lv 100 Medium armor having same defense vs puncture weapons as a lvl 0 medium armor)

And armor/weapons being available for every 10th level.

#1 Government, both IC and OOC
Our government system is boring, because it is extremely easy to simply lock trouble of any kind out of the town and the political landscape is generally as static as a statue. The issues players may decide on are mostly about making things more pretty to look at, which is nowhere near enough. We can't grab land, conquer and close off resources, do serious damage to another town or anything else that might even slightly upset another character, not even temporarily. The single reason left to fight somebody is personal dislike and starting such a fight will just get you exiled.
At some point even long before the VBU it was decided that the players have a right to play their characters completely unmolested by any and all outside influences and in a true RPG that sucks beyond words. Seriously, this is so bad I can't think of a word that is strong enough to emphasize it properly. I've never had more fun in this game than when a GM char threatened to kill mine if she doesn't as she's told. With permadeath being a real, possible consequence (it probably wasn't, but I did think so at the time), there was a kind of thrill to it that I never felt again since. With all the restrictions on what must never happen in game, nobody has any IC goals or fears (except for being exiled, which is just boring ooc and not so frightening ic) and it shows in player behavior. Of course everyone is only worried about their MC, when all there is to strive for long term is getting some skill maxed.
We used to have so much in game and forum RP that was sparked by some political change or another. That has died, because there is nothing left to argue about. And please don't tell me it is all in the players' hands. Why should anyone care who gets elected as chancellor in Galmair for example? The real power is and will always remain the Don, because whenever there is a serious issue, he has the last word and whenever the chancellors start to abuse what power they have, they'll be very certainly and quickly removed. This isn't a player issue, nor is it an issue with the GMs who simply do their best to make things interesting within their given limits. It is game design.

#2 Magic Gems
The current system is a conflict killer. I've already written half a novel about how forcing people to keep up trade with other towns in general is bad for RP. Especially when at the same time conflict within your own town gets you exiled. The magic gems are the central part of this inter town trade. I'll just mention that here and leave it at that unless there is serious interest in the topic. Their effect is boring too btw, but we all know that already.

#3 Lack of a Magic System
Adding things piece by tiny piece will result in a huge mess, as it happened to every single game I know of that tried something like that. Magic (arcane, priestly and alchemical) is just as much part of the combat system as swinging an axe. They can't be treated separately. I strongly believe that this needs to be designed as a unified system, that is balanced before it gets implemented. There's a million tabletop and CRPGs out there one can use for inspiration or as an example of how not to do things.

Auch wenns hies nicht einfach einen der Entwicklungssteine nominieren, für mich ein Punkt der in Angriff genommen werden sollte ist die Magie. Klar, die gehört ausbalanciert und durchdacht, aber auch wenn ich selber keinen Magier-Char hab - mir fehlt irgendwas im moment wenn man nur von Monstern Zaubersprüche um die Ohren geballert bekommt aber kein Spieler auch nur nen Schnitt im Finger durch Magie heilen ohne dafür ein Ritual abziehen zu müssen.

Even if it was said "Don´t jus nominate one of the Milestones", one thing what should be done in my opinion is magic. Of course it should be balanced and be thought through. Even if I never had a character which was a mage, to me there is something missing for now. No player could heal the slightest wound through magic without perfoming a ritual (just as an example) while monster could fire magic around.

Sowas wäre wieder schön zu haben. Würde es vereinfachen immer wiederkehrende Sachen zu speichern und zu verwenden, sei es eine Charakterbeschreibung oder Charaktertypische gesten. Gerade Beschreibungen nehmen ja sonst immer einiges in Anspruch (gerade wenn man sie in einer Fremdsprache tippt).

This would be nice to see again. Would be a big help for some things you need often, like a character description or some gestures typical for a character. Description take a lot of time to write - and even more in another language, so it would be a great help.

Noch einer meiner Favoriten - wieder eine Karte wie im alten Client haben, wenn man die noch dazu wie hier vorgeschlagen mit eigenen Textmarken beschriften könnte - wäre ein Traum für mich.

Erhöhung der Herstellungszeiten für etliche Gegenstände
Ich kann nicht für alle Handwerke Aussagen machen, für die denen ich nachgehe schon.
Die Zeiten sind extremes zu kurz, früher waren sie viel zu lang jetzt viel viel zu kurz.
Beispiel Glasblasen: Glasbarren brauchen 3 Sekunden eine Flasche aus 3 Glasbarren her zu stellen 0,7 Sekunden????
Schmieden: Komplexe Rüstungen unter 40 Sekunden????

Wenn diese Zeiten erhöht werden brauchen wir die Hot Spots um so mehr.
Dabei muss auch die Aufstellung von Depots dringend überdacht werden.
Denn bei längeren Zeiten brauchen wir :
Depots in Werkstatt und Werkzeugnähe sowie eine Konzentration der stationären Werkzeuge in einer Spielzone.
Der Untwurf einer Lösung für Galmair ist sowohl ingame (Tialdin als neuer Kanzler will umbaun) als auch
ooc (Mapper gefunden!!!) in Arbeit.

Einzige Arbeit für die Devs ist dabei, mal schwer drüber nach zu denken so Regelungen wie
Mindestabstand von Depots zu Werkzeugen und die Monopolregelung der Städte für bestimmte Handwerke auf
den Prüfstand zu nehmen und ernsthaft darüber zu diskutieren, ob damit die angestrebten Ziele erreicht wurden und
in wie weit diese Regelungen den Spielern eher auf den Keks gehen und Frustration auslösen. Siehe Spielerzahlen, erster Eindruck vom Spiel etc.

Dazu hätte ich durchaus einiges zu sagen!!! Auf einer Map die von Zot gebaut wurde mit der Maßgabe das es Esel geben wird,
OHNE diese Esel zu spielen reduziert den Spielspaß enorm. Das Handwerker RP ständig wegen Materialmangel unterbrechen zu müssen ebenfalls. usw. Bei längeren Herstellungszeiten werden dann tatsächlich die RP Unterbrechungen seltener. Wenn denn Leute zum RPn in der Nähe sind, also wieder Hot Spot.... dreht sich irrgendwie im Kreis.
Bei der Diskussion unter den Devs über diese Themen würde ich gerne mit diskutieren. Mindestens aber mitlesen, weil mich auch interessiert
warum bestimmte Dinge nicht gewollt sind, damit ich über mögliche Kompromisse nachdenken kann.

Den Shut up Befehl bei NPCs ein zu bauen finde ich auch gut, die spammen einem manchmal ganz schön übel ins Rollenspiel.
Gab es mein ich auch ein Mantis Ticket zu, find ich gerade auf die schnelle nicht wieder.

Ginge so etwas vielleicht über ingame Items?
Also quasie mit der Feder einen Emotebefehl auf ein Item (Dabei ist ziemlich egal was für ein Item) zu schreiben, dass dann durch doppelklick
ausgelöst wird? Also wie bei Musikinstrumenten nur halt individueller? Und anzeigbar wie die Taschenbeschriftungen?

Noch einer meiner Favoriten - wieder eine Karte wie im alten Client haben, wenn man die noch dazu wie hier vorgeschlagen mit eigenen Textmarken beschriften könnte - wäre ein Traum für mich.

Ich habe nur einen großen Wunsch .

Das es möglich wäre über die *wer ist gerade im Spiel Seite* , einem Spieler IG eine Nachricht zukommen zu lassen .
Es wäre ein Traum wenn man das über die Einstellungen an und abstellen könnte , so wie die Charbeschreibung zB.
Es sollten nur kurze texte möglich sein wie z.B. * Deine Bestellung ist fertig * oder * wo bist du gerade *

Das würde die ewige Suche über die ganze Karte ersparen .
