*a note arrives at the estate of The Don*
To Whom It May Concern,
I have found my stay in Galmair lacking. In exchange for my taxes, I have not been afforded even the most basic protections offered by the laws of Galmair, and so I bid the city-state goodbye and leave for greener pastures.
I understand there are normally fines involved with such a thing; however, I find Galmair and The Don in breach of contract. No gold shall be billed. None shall be paid.
Further, this means that the offender, Sarai, is in debt to me for past transgressions as I am no subject of Galmair. I've taken the courtesy of collecting her debt of one hundred gold coins and will be taking them with me.
It has been no pleasure doing business with you. It has, however, been profitable.
Your Former Assistant,
LONO
