Proposals to fix everything

  1. Old proposal: http://illarion.org/community/forums/vi ... 94&t=38583 ... allow alternative way to make 1 merenium ingot via 50 merenium ore + 50 coal, still is a pain in the ass to make so won't hurt value much but will help cover demand a little better
  2. Put the full range of crafting tools in the Hemp Necktie inn + repair NPC. Will increase the likelihood of evil characters and/or those able to create drama without getting destroyed by town bans.
  3. Make rings/amulets increase skills/attributes. Otherwise finesmithing + 3 equipment slots are pointless.
  4. Allow people to wear armor up to their skill level or 5 levels above.
Bam, everything is fixed.

Still dont like proposal one ,i think the rarity of really high quality magic stuff is just right ,it takes me an age to find pure fires to melt a merinium ore then i produce mostly a good to very good quality item from it ,occasionally at the whim of the Gods a perfect item "Legendary"! . I can produce perfect quality non magic items with regularity but not enchanted stuff , it makes magic items things of rarity and great worth even it is not the highest of qualitys.
Any move to make it easyer will in my view harm this an feed the fires that all must have enchanted perfection and nothing else will do! and that all magic weapons ,armour etc of lesser quality are just rubbish.
High demand is a good thing ,and the fact it is only met with a perfect item occasionally even better.At the present i think things are better for the smith / carpenter than they have been in the recent past.A few extras to make life a bit more viable for outlaws would be of benifit to the game and
I agree something has to be done to create effects for enchanted jewelery .
I have no comment on the armour as its not an issue with anyone i have spoken to.

Please make seperate topics for seperate propsals. It is not good to discuss four completely different proposals in one topic.

We're still talking about multiple IG hours just to make 1 merenium ingot. My estimation would be anywhere from 3-10 hours depending on how fast you go/how lucky your drop rate is.

1) merinium ingots and pure elements are the only realy rare items - this should not be changed
2) i can not see why "outlaws" should have ALL CRAFTS at one place - may be some major crafts like smithing, carpentry, cooking but NOT all
3) true at the moment rings / amulets are useless - they should get some effects
4) i cant see the idea behind this point :roll:

I like the third suggestion. Rings and amulets aren't paperdolled, so they serve no purpose at all right now.

this is an "one time" effect .... there is no increased demand for new armor, you only shorten the time for new armor once (when this effect will be implemented)

also the low level armours will be worth less. if every one starts whats is best for them then 0-20 armours will be worth less.
The only use of change for this would be for veterans (80+ lvl).

Its like changing 0 lvl armour to 20; 10 to 30.. 20 to 40.. and 80 to 100 etc etc.
We could just change the value of 100 lvl to 120.. which basically is a worthless move.

Reaching 100 is a bitch... earn it :D and thats why its fun to leave it as it is.
