A note on the Fluffy Sheep's walls

Post by Damien »

In the night, someone has glued a waxed parchment next to both entry doors, obvously with a lot of donf resin so there is no way for removal but lots of chiseling, scraping and scrubbing:

The house of the rotworm

There is a house in varshikar,
they call it the rotworm.
And it's been the ruin for many a worm.
For beer, you know, they're done.

The Alrik is an innkeeper,
he made this Kumdah brew.
And for to make the taste okay
He killed a worm, or two.

Now the only thing the Kumdah needs
Is hop, and malt, and worm.
And if you leave that worm away
you'll earn a desert storm.

Oh Tialdin, tell your dwarvlings
Not to do what you have done
To waste their coin in the fluffy sheep,
to Kumdah, they should come.

Well, i got one foot in the doorhouse
the other foot on the way
I'm walking up to Varshikar
Just north of Kumdah Bay.

Well, there's a house in Varhsikar
They call it the rotworm
And their beer's much better than every one
that's brewed in Troll's Bane town.

Big red letters are written at the bottom, reading:

Makes the weak ones strong and the strong ones stronger.
Kumda Brew.
( with the slight taste of rot(tm) )
The beer for heroes.

A woman, clad in a cook armor, stops by the door of the Fluffy Sheep's tavern, seemingly attracted by the parchments glued on the frame. She squints a little and pulls out her tongue, obviously enthralled by what she reads. She then seems to be talking to herself aloud:

''Zounds, that brewer has some talent! He deserves a visit.''

Shen then bows her head like she were curtsying and claps her hands slowly.

''I wonder if he could brew a beer to make some mage wiser. Hrmmm, and, I guess, some cook too.''

Shen then kicks open the door and disappears inside.

Ye can pretty ya' beer
wit many things queer.
with rot worm tails
an' oger's finger nails.
we' be traditional here
an' dont drink sand beer.

A tall and muscular orc peers down at the sign, slowly mouthing the words. Finally he finishes. He seems a little perplexed.

"Hur! Worms!? In mah beer!" He pauses, then mulls it over. "Mehbeh dat beh good. Little bit o' sumfing different." The orc pulls out a ratty bit of cloth and scribbles his own note underneath.
***YOO DELIVA TO BANE. MEH PAY SILVAS 4 YUR BEER. LUV FROM KRAZEN. ****
