Since there was no other place to put this.
About food... anyone else a little nagged about the huge orders of food? Or just generally the fact that characters down so many food items?
Seems like minor OCD, but... we can fix this and make it just a bit more realistic, just by the way we call pieces of food-
what if we see food item X as just one serving? What I mean by that is this:
-Instead of a whole apple pie, let's split it up as one slice as 1/3 or 1/6 of the pie. (since in its baking process, it goes by 1/6ths) Same thing would apply to cakes.
-For food dishes, 3-4 (I'm thinking at least for salmon dishes and up) plates would equal~ 1 serving, or just name it as one plate, or one full plate.
Only things that come up to mind at the moment... obviously, if you're buying things individually or in low numbers, I don't see why just saying it as we always do would be wrong. "I'll buy one pie for xyz". This really only applies to people who do large orders. I haven't really thought out a complete list of what to call all food items in Illa because I don't know if you guys want to change the way our chars talk about food (or if I want to change how my char talks about it if no one else joins in :p). Its not like we need to put much effort for this little nitpick, though (is it too nitpicky?). If you guys are more or less supportive of this I can make some sort of list regarding this.
If a mod thinks this is in the wrong place, would you mind moving it?

Re: Regarding food...
I actually always think it is strange to eat 10 apples where taking a slice of one sometimes would be nice, 2-3 dishes, and even a whole pie or cake. Would love to see the food become more realistic. Perhaps it will with the VBU?
Re: Regarding food...
Don't know if you meant to actually change it...
but I meant to just refer food as smaller servings. Not change them, at least not until the VBU (plsplspls- and stackable plates!)

Re: Regarding food...
It is currently not an option to change one dish to a multi step item. This is technically feasable, of course. But I doubt the underlying problem is that one cannot eat several slices of a cake. I assume the real problem is the relation between maximum food points (full yellow bar), food consumption during different actions (fighting vs. crafting etc.) and the amount of food points for each dish. The VBU will bring some changes to all this, but once the update is there, we're open to feedback, of course. Furthermore, the use of food is somehow not satisfying; one gets a constitution bonus for a very good diet, but this is not a lot compared to the additional effort one has to spend for "crafting" a dish instead of picking some cherries.
As usual - there are also ideas how to improve this situation, the Illarion staff just lacks the manpower to implement all at once. One example would be a temporary buff you get upon eating a dish, the better the dish, the better the buff. This would give dishes a real use and benefit beyond refilling that yellow bar thingy.
