Screen Display Mode Error... Erk?!?!?!?
Hello all! I recently upgraded my PC from Windows 7 to Linux. (Ubuntu 9.10) Ive download Java and the Illarion client, but when I try to log on this error message pops up:
'Unable to find screen display mode: 1024x768 at 32'
Help!

Using Ubuntu the Client will allow you to set the bit depth to 24bit in the settings of the client. This is what you need to do. Then it will work in case you are using proper graphic drivers.
Also I suggest doing a real upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 to Ubuntu 10.04
The new version works fast and smooth and in case you have a NVidia graphic card there is a new driver included that is supposed to speed the the graphics.
