Druid system
I know many have been waiting for the return of th druid system. now unless i am mistaken it was originally taken out because everyone could learn it, instead of just druids. SOooo... why not create a "druid" skill that is the exact same as the original alchemy (for pots and stuff) except you need a teacher to "teach" you the first bit. in other words, you can't make the first potion until you have 10% skill (or whatever percent). this could be as easy as making an npc that gives the 10% in the skill to nearby characters when a teacher says "teach" the teacher would need 80% skill (or whatever percent) or else the npc would say you are not skilled enough to teach. something like this would be easier to program then recreating the magic system but for druids. the rest can be rped. this would give a fast, temporary solution to the lack of a druid system, until a more permanent one can be made.
It's the priest system thats in the works I believe. The druid system was supposed to be worked on after that.
I dont recall if anything was 'near completion'. But I can at least understand people wanting a psuedo Druid system, even if just to have something small for their characters.
Guess we'd have to wait for a Dev to give any form of progress repot on systems.

Its rather senseless to play a Druid IMO, this is the reason why Yridia possibly never comes back.
All can making potions... All are healers and medicos.. especially all this *apprentice* mages rping short, throwing out two spells and ALL is fully healed. That was not the case earlier. A Mage only was able to ease pain and closing some lesser wounds, healing during battles, without deeper healing. Mages still lacked on the knowledge of herbs. So the fully removing of the druid system degraded Druids to joke figures. Sure it was only a RP agreement that Mages not could fully heal during RP. I blame more the RP not the lack of a Druid System. Infact with a Druid System it would be for sure easier to play one and feel not so absolutely senseless in Gobaith.
But this is only my meaning ...
So we have atm nothing which a druid fits and is special. I waiting for the new Druid System now since a long long time ....
Nonetheless I agree with Vern Kron, makes no sense to create hastily anything else...better wait another long time and a good system is coming out then.

Unlike any other "professions" in the game, the Druids do nothing, nor have anything special that is theirs except a group of very good RPers. Like those starting out in carpentry or anything else, others will learn it too, but only the most advanced will learn more. Those are the ones we call carpenters. The Druids have nothing to advance to and actually hadn't before either, most unable to make very many potions. I realize we are basically talking game mechanics now.. RP-wise though, the Druid as a healer. You have mage "healers", Druid 'healers", now medico "healers". About anyone can heal now. The RP of taking care of natural environment on Gobaith has never been encouraged that much, mainly there is not much to do. There is no advantage to being a Druid ig besides some very nice RP. IF the Druid system will take some time to work and IF the game would like to see active Druids, it would be nice to have at least a temporary fix if at all possible.
For druids we have a impressive concept and the technical basic part is already scripted. What is mainly missing are the potions along with the effects. And since we have 799999992 different potions its quite difficult to declare them all. We are working on it. In case you have proposals for potions, just send them over.
For priests we have a absolutly impressive and cool and stuff concept too and no idea how to script that.
