Citizens,
We have recieved and accepted two new brothers to our clan!
I want to welcome Dushin and Edmon Entrails to the Village! I have already spent much time with Edmon, and although he is a little rough, he is a loyal and hard-working fighter. I will meet with Dushin soon.
We also recieved a generous donation to our cause by Artimer Fault. He donated 34 Gold nuggets and 100 copper ores. Thank him if you see him. Gifts like this are appreciated and create friendships with other races.
I also want to announce that the Builder has agreed to meet with us during our meeting. ((Saturday 8pm GMT)). Remember, we will be meeting down in the smithing Hall.
If any of you do not know the way, I will be leaving Eliza's shop in TrollsBane to go there ((7:45pm GMT sharp!!!)).
Thank you all for your help, and may we ever prosper and spread the Glory of Dwarves throughout!

We had a productive meeting yesterday. Four citizens in attendance and we discussed plans as well as our first 'Training Day'. I have also trained with one of our members "Edmon Entrails" and have found him to be a capable warrior. I have appointed him as a Deputy.
One of the items discussed was an Open Market for goods made by Goldburg to travellers.
Official Proclamation #2:
By Order of the Chief,
§ 23.2 Open Market
By Proclamation #2, One hour each Dwarven Day is set aside for 'Open Market'. This is the time each day that a representative of Goldburg will be available to trade ores, ingots, and other wares. ((Daily at 5am GMT~11pm CST))
For now, until a depot is obtained for the surface, this 'Market' will take place in Trolls Bane, at the Workshop Depot. It is a publically available site and I am there most evenings and have conducted much trade there, so there are already customers available. Please bring your wares there to sell. Later, we shall consider moving it to Goldburg when we obtain a surface depot.

I would like to welcome Habith Horiwith to our clan. She is a very pretty and young miner who seems to lift the spirits of all she meets. Welcome!
Due to personal matters, I will not be meeting this week for our 'Training Day' meeting. I appoint Faber to act in my stead, organizing training and discussing plans, as well as to welcome the new members who arrive.
The personal matter reminds me. I wish to encourage everyone to seek out Shingo Sharpshoot. Our clan needs slingers for her defense, and we have no problem obtaining stone for pebbles. The sling would be an excellent weapon to strike the enemy down from our future walls! I can think of no other better able to teach than Shingo. The clan has both pebbles and slings in ample supply for any who wish to learn.
I look forward to the training next dwarven week and see who has really learned.

Everyone well be asked to bring one weapon of their choice for training. Plan may or may not be discussed depending on new developments.

Dear citizens,
I only recently found out that a disaster has befallen our brothers of the "Fluffy Sheep Tavern" in TrollsBane.
Official Proclamation #3
By Order of the Chief,
All Dwarves are hereby asked to lend any and all assistance to any citizen of Silverbrand should disaster befall them, until such Disaster has been overcome.
Let us hope in the future, that no dwarves are hurt by either disaster oor inaction. A dwarf is a dwarf and we all are Brothers and Sisters by Irmorom's hand.

Dear citizens,
By strange circumstances, I was able to resolve my personal matters and attend the meeting. I waited for 15 dwarven minutes, but no-one appeared. I already spoke with Surian, so he is excused, as well as Habith, as she is new. Where was everyone else?
I blame myself for this absence however. Perhaps news of my absence discouraged others from attending. I hope not, for how will the Clan survive beyond me. In future I shall try to be at all meetings.
I propose a rule for meetings and events.
Official Proclamation #4
By Order of the Chief,
All Dwarves are hereby informed that at the time of any meeting, please wait no more than 15 dwarven minutes for latecomers. After 15 minutes, latecomers, visitors and such shall be locked out and those in attendance allowed to proceed or cancel as they deem necessary.
Let us hope in the future, that no one has to wait too long for others who will not show. Twice we waited for visitors who never showed, despite waiting a full dwarven hour for them, and we are all busy with mining and other pursuits. This rule will allow those who are late, to know how long we will wait.
Let us hope this will be a guide to those who are late, as well as a guide to those who attend. We shall not waste time that could be better used making coin for the Clan.
On another subject, every citizen should talk to me concerning a secret plan I am creating. It will of the utmost importance to attend next week's meeting. I shall need every able bodied dwarf there.

Dearest Citizens,
I have this evening purchased The TrollsBane Arena from Julius Rothman at great personal expense to be used as an embassy for Goldburg. I know that our Hall is difficult to get to at the moment, and having a 'home' away from home, as an embassy will greatly help our cause, not to mention to help finding new language dwarves easier.
The Governor of TrollsBane has already given his blessing:

I plan to use it as an Embassy and a Glass-Making center so that we may make enough Grey bottles for the many Beers we will be brewing. Perhaps our brothers of Silverbrand will find the influx of Glass products to Trollsbane useful to their Taven, as we shall find their Tavern useful to our drinking! Aye!Fooser wrote:I can verify that Julius Rothman owns the arena. His father did, then it passed to other knights, and then back to Julius if I am not mistaken. There is no taxation, but if land goes into hands of non-citizens it would have a tax, unless it is used in the manner of the fluffy sheep tavern which you claim it will. So yes, you have the towns blessing if you wish to do this.

Mr. McGintish,
It is my pleasure to announce that Goldburg has purchased the TrollsBane Arena from Julius Rothman to be used as an Embassy.
The Governor Fooser has already given his blessing as posted in our Guild Board.
Our plan is to dig a "Sand Mine" underneath the sand currently there. Then install a Glass melting oven and a sieve. It will serve both the citizens of Trollsbane and ourselves as a dedicated place to make Glass. A "Glassworks".
For public relations ((And help RP)), we shall also build a lighted stage where the sand "arena" is now. This will allow a perfect stage on which Bards and actors may perform. In addition, install a ladder to the roof, add some chairs and a pillared roof for a Band to play.
These changes will warrent the name "Glassworks Theater" as the name of the embassy, and free to all citizens of Trollsbane and Goldburg. Surian Silverbeard has already volunteered to serve as "Ambassador".
I hope this will promote peace, and allow our cause of uniting "New Language" Dwarves to be known and make it easier for new arrivals to find us.
Thank you for your help.

I would like to welcome Garius Stonehammer to our clan. He was recruited by Habith, and seems to be an admirable dwarf. Last night, I escorted both of them to Goldburg and showed them their community. Welcome!
Keep on recruiting. More dwarves are coming to the Isle, and as brothers, we can help them find their feet like no one else can!
Keep up the great work!

Dear Citizens!
I have good news!
I have just now met with our builder. Like a Magical God, he appeared out of this air, took me to Goldburg, where he quickly constructed our entrance gate for us! The entrance is open now, and the Gate will fit your keys. He was even kind enough to remove a few rocks for us.
We discussed making the tunnel larger, with pillars. For this, he will need Raw stones and sand.
We discussed the Arena. We cannot dig a sand mine, but we can purchase a sieve and Glassoven at normal prices. We will have to just import the sand from the desert here, which shouldn't be a problem. I will have plenty if you need some.
We also discussed a meeting this week. Due to his busy schedule, we will meet an hour later than planned. This is an important meeting! I need every able-bodied dwarf for this 'quest'. I will rent a cow for this, and we will meet at the Stable in Silverbrand.
((Goldburg Quest #1 "Miner Sabotage":

I feel we have resolved many things and can continue to grow. Please continue to recruit new dwarves and collect materials and coins.

Dear Citizens,
Firstly, I have welcomed Wolf Silverpike into our clan. Wolf is a miner and smith, and will be a valuable asset to us. Welcome!
Secondly, I have also appointed Edmon Entrails as our 'Sheriff'. I have fought alongside him and he has proven to be a worthy warrior. He has accepted the post and is going to assist to train others. I would like to thank Hrar for his interest in becoming Sheriff, however I believe his position as a 'Royal Guard' with the Kingdom of Silverbrand may be a conflict for him. Silverbrand has not indicated that it wouldn't be and in the absence of an answer, we need to organize our 'security'. Edmon is a trusted warrior and friend.
Thirdly, we have much work to do in the following weeks my friends. I have many plans and 'quests' that will achieve fruition. Please bear with me and help, and your rewards shall come as well.
I will begin listing needed materials for specific projects on the front board soon. Please keep checking the first few boards as they will be updated every few days or as materials come in.
We will also start holding events at our Embassy in TrollsBane to build up positive Public Relations with Gobaith. I will advertise these as they are scheduled, but any help you can provide with 'Judging', 'security' or even food and drink will be appreciated.
Lastly, I need requests from all citizens on plans for Goldburg. I have already discussed expanding the entrance tunnels, planned for a depot on the surface and made plans for our Embassy. I need your ideas. Do you want a subterranean room? Do you want a house on the surface? Do you want to help build the Citadel, or workshops? I need details and ideas. I have plans, but I would like to know what each and every citizen dreams about, and would like in the future. Nothing is impossible, we are Dwarves and can do anything! Let's make Goldburg in our image, all of us, together.

Dear citizens,
I was selling wares in Greenbriar today, when I met a brother who had returned to Gobaith after many years away. I welcomed him and showed him to Goldburg, and he decided to join our cause to unite New Language dwarves everywhere. Please welcome Jari. He is a miner and smith and like I said has been away a while, so please show him around if you see him. I left him sleeping in the smithing Hall.
We will have a meeting this week and then a quest. ((Saturday 8pm GMT)). We will meet in the Hall to discuss plans and strategy, and then we shall go to the stables in an hour to meet the royal builder for a quest. I shall need every able-bodied dwarf on this, it is important.

Dear citizens,
I have updated our treasury and materials lists. I have almost completed measurements and building plans for the first few projects and I shall post them shortly.
I have noticed that we are short on Silvers. Obviously they are needed for our plans. I want to encourage all of you to meet me when you can during our Open Markets ((Daily at 12am EST/11pm CST)) so I can sell wares for you to many customers we have now who look for all sorts of wares at fair prices.
Another solution I have is a 'fundraiser'. An event so grand and fun that it will not only raise some silvers for us, but also provide us with Goodwill from the peoples of Gobaith.
Official Proclamation #5:
By Order of the Chief,
Once a year during the month of Mas, Goldburg will host, man and sponsor a Great Race for the peoples of Gobaith. Details and Prizes may vary as needed and determined by the Chief.
What I propose is a great Race of two person teams, who travel with a cow from Greenbriar to Varshikar ((Like Cannonball Run)). This will be during Mas, to make it more 'interesting'. Entry fee of 10 Silvers a team, but the prize shall be 100 silvers worth of goods and items. I shall advertise this soon.

Surian,
As newly appointed ambassador to TrollsBane, I have a few things that you need to do:
1) Meet and assist any new dwarves in Trollsbane, especially if they speak the new language. Let them know about Goldburg and have them send me a dove for membership. If they speak the old language, do Silverbrand a service and help them to join Silverbrand, our brothers will appreciate this. If you need tools, funds or other assistance for this 'charity' work, let me know. You have a small Budget of 15 silvers to use from our treasury for this service. See me to get them.
2) Meet the Governor of Trollsbane in person. He is often available at the Seahorse Inn. We need to negotiate and write contracts with them about several things:
A: The status of the Arena has been verbally agreed upon, but needs to be written. We are seeking the same status given to Silverbrand for their Tavern. The Arena will be converted into a Theater, and used as our embassy.
B: We need to negotiate a 'mutual defense' treaty with TrollsBane. I have already sent an invitation to their Captain of the Guard "Taliss" inviting his guard to use the Arena for training. A Treaty with mutual cooperation and defense in mind would help.
C: We need to negotiate a 'trade agreement' with TrollsBane. They have been kind enough to allow us to hold our daily market at their Workshop, but I have recieved requests for Armors and Weapons which I have had to deny. Silverbrand already has that agreement with TrollBane and we shall not compete with that. Perhaps TrollsBane has other needs such as Gold, Gems, Dyes, Beer or Glass items. Negotiate what you can based on our current treaties.
Remember: All treaties must be reviewed and signed by myself, before they are posted and made official.
3) Lastly, when construction begins to 'update' the Arena into a theater, assist the process by being available to the builder for questions. I will post the plans and needed materials. It will be up to you to help me coordinate the process there. All materials will be stored at the builder's office at the docks, and I will get them to him as soon as convenient. I will leave it up to you to design your 'office' and living quarters beneath the Arena. Call it a 'perk' of the job.
I will send you further instructions as the need arises. Please remember, that you not only represent us, but Dwarves everywhere. As such, I am bestowing upon you the title of 'Lord'. Please act accordingly.
Our further communications and opening of other embassy's will depend largely on your success. Thank you for your service.
Send me a dove with any questions, 'Lord' Surian.
In Service,
~Chester Copperpot, Chief

~Chester Copperpot, Chief

Good idea Surian, I have thought of that. However the answer is no. Let me explain.
I have seen other external boards, and although they are very fine, they are not as easy to get to. People tend to forget to check them as often. Unless the citizen list is very large, such as our brothers in Silverbrand, they often fail and become dormant with much useless and outdated material.
We cannot allow Goldburg to become dormant.
Everything I do is with the goal to 'include' not 'exclude' future members by making things easy and accesible.
Thanks,
~Chester

Project #1
Citadel of Goldburg-First Floor
"Foundation"
This is the first of many plans for our village. Each project will have a 'coordinator'. A volunteer that will hold the donated materials, meet with the builder and make changes as agreed by the rest of the village.
The first, biggest and most important Project is our Citadel. I will take charge of this one personally and see it through to completion.

I have a vision of a Grand Citadel, worthy to resist our foes, safeguard our treasures and protect our future village. Due to the “Defensive” nature of the Citadel, everything on this first floor will be fire-proof. Future floors, 5 above and three below, will have furnishings and tools. After the first floor, there will also be a wall surrounding our village, the citadel of which being the Cornerstone. I know the cost seems staggering, however I believe we can do it!
Give any materials for this project to me personally. I will be in charge of the citadel project personally. I will continue to get all the materials for this I can.

Dear citizens,
I want to welcome Krall to our lists. He has been a citizen for 6 years of Silverbrand and now would also like the advantages of belonging to Goldburg too. He is one of the finest smiths I have seen. Welcome!
Our next meeting will be at the usual time in the Hall. ((8pm GMT/2pm CST Saturdays))
We will discuss plans, discuss raising funds, the upcoming Race as well as ask for volunteer coordinators.
To encourage participation, I am going to insist that 'private' dwellings not be allowed until one first coordinates and completes a building project. Give to the Clan first, then the Clan shall give to you. The land for their 'House' or 'Chamber' shall be free to them, as well as 1/4 of the cost. I believe this simple rule will encourage greater participation. I won't make this official until we discuss it at the meeting.
After the meeting, we will conduct training. However, we also need to earn coin so I propose using one of the Treasure maps we have and seek it out. All who participate shall divide any items found, but coin shall go to building projects.
I hope to see you all soon!

I would like to welcome Tanya Stonehammer to our Clan. As the name suggests, she is Garius' own wife, newly arrived to Gobaith. I am a little disappointed Garius never mentioned he had such a fair haired and beautiful wife, but all is forgiven. Welcome her to Gobaith.
Remember, our meeting is in two dwarven days. If you cannot make it, please send a dove, so I'll know who I can count on for the Treasure hunt.

Project #2 (TrollsBane Arena Renovation)
"Glassworks Theater" Phase I
The Arena shall be our embassy in TrollsBane. Not only that, but become useful as an esoteric center of Glassmaking and Fine Arts, which both require a gentle touch and appreciation of fine things.
We will extend the poor, tiny building another 2 fields, allowing space for a Glass Oven, Sieve and maybe a display table. There will also be an equal space below dug out which will be fashioned into the Ambassador’s office. Stairs leading up, will lead to an area on the roof, with four chairs set up for Bands to play during Plays and concerts.
Both sides will be accessible via a covered ‘portico’ or porch. The attendees to the event will then pass through Gates to their seats. Later, we may wall-in the audience, instead of Hedges, to prevent any ‘disruptions’. The actors will come out of a Gate onto the stage area. We will continue to import and store sand in a small strip by the stage for Glassmaking, but the actors may use it too for ‘backdrop’, sound effects, etc. Most importantly, it will also serve as a ‘fire’ barrier between stage and Glassworks, and vice versa.
While this is being built, I will advertise, Hire and train Bards to play, act or dance for us and the people of Gobaith. The Stage may also be used for sword practice or even special events. I have a few ideas to host some dances and such, soon.
Give any materials for this project to me personally. I will be in charge of this project for now.

Dear Citizens,
1) Today I met with Katagil Sandhouse. She was introduced to us by Lord Silverbeard. She is a cautious and avid warrior and future Glassblower. I welcomed her and assigned her as a deputy. She is most anxious to help, already donating sand for our projects.
2) Thanks to Garius and Tanya for donating 10 shovels as well.
3) After some consideration, I believe we shall allow three team members for each project. One who coordinates and stores materials, and two 'assistants' who shall help gather materials for it. As a reward, all three shall gain the 'right' to build a private room or House in Goldburg, with 1/4 expenses paid by the clan upon completion of a project.
I think this will help speed these projects along and get more dwarves involved.
Please post which projects interest you, and I shall add your names.
Coordinators, please send me a dove with any updates to the materials gathered and please store all of it in the depot at the Docks. The builder keeps his office there and it will be easier than filling up your own depots in towns.
4) I've had a request to make the meetings later. This is easy to do and may be good for everyone. Our next meeting will be two hours later. ((Saturday 10pm GMT//4pm CST, USA))
We will also have another treasure hunt afterwards. I have obtained more maps, but there is a 'Dragon' map which will require many dedicated warriors. The treasures we hunt will depend on how many show.
5) Many thanks to you all, and don't hesitate to ask if you need armor, weapons, or just to sell things. I am attending all of our markets, daily in TrollsBane ((Daily at 5am GMT//11pm CST, USA)) and we are developing many friends and customers. I will buy your wares anytime and sell them then so you don't have to.

Dear citizens,
Many thanks to Garius and Tanya Stonehammer for donating 250 raw stone and 25 shovels last night for the citadel. It is greatly appreciated.
I have updated the citadel project and added Hrar and Edmon as assistants.
I have not heard from Lord Surian about material collections. I fear he has little time. To compensate and get things going on the future theater too, I would like to ask if Garius and Tanya would be willing to serve as assistants for this. I would appreciate their help with this project, indirectly, it is as important as our citadel. With their enthusiasm and willingness to help, the Arena will be remodeled in no time.
I would still like to hear from others if they are interested in helping on one of the remaining projetcs, or one they have in mind.
Many thanks for the work you all are doing to create a village from nothing.

This Marketplace has been requested by a few. A Grand trading village needs a superior marketplace, spacious enough for cows and merchants. We will place it directly in front of the new citadel. This will allow parades and trainings for our police.
Any materials for this, you can give to him personally.
As always, I am open to new ideas or input.
