With a shrug the other man downed his drink. Not another word was spoken of it..

Am Morgen des heutigen Tages soll in dem leerstehenden Gebäude am nordwestlichen Stadtrand von Trolls Bane die Leiche eines Mannes gefunden worden sein.
Der Mann soll vollkommen nackt gewesen sein, nur in seiner linken Hand habe man einen blutigen Dolch gefunden, mit dem er sich anscheinend selbst gerichtet hatte.
Weil der Mann kein Geld für eine ordentliche Bestattung hatte und ihn niemand kannte wurde er kurzerhand in den Fluss gestoßen.

The rumor is spreading, that the corpse of a man was found this morning in the empty building in the northwest outskirts of Trolls Bane.

In einer abgeschiedenen Ecke der Taverne sitzen einige adrett gekleidete Leut um eine sich leerende Flasche Wein und unterhalten sich.

"9 Silberlinge und 36 Kupferlinge waren es in den letzen Tagen! Damit können die sich ja nicht mal ein anständiges Schwert kaufen, sage ich euch. Und die wollen dann die Bewohner beschützen?"

"Achwas, das Geld ist doch egal! Das drumherum, von Tür zu Tür wandern, mit Reichen Kaufleuten und dem armen Pack zu reden, das ist es wofür es sich schuften lohnt!"

"Ihr zwei solltet lieber mal mit offenen Augen, statt mit dem Klingelbeutel und geschwätzigen Mundwerk, durch die Straßen wandern."

"Bei dem Elend seh ich doch lieber weg..."

"So? Na, dann wird es dich wohl auch nicht interessieren, wen ich jüngst eng umschlungen miteinandern turteln habe sehen?"

A rumour can be heard in the tavern. Despite the rampant crime and kidnappings, Governor Siltaris refused to hire a large amount of Mercenaries for the guard to protect the citizens and visitors of Trollsbane.

Man1: Blasted.. I'm not feeling safe in the town anymore. Heck, even the guards are hanging themselves these days! It's been a damned long while since the town has seen such crime and lawlesness!

Man2: Crikey mates! What are all these fancy buildings worth if ye'll end up like ol' Magnus? Mere stones and dust!

Man3: Aye, lads.. I dun' know about ye, but I'm too darn scared to go outside during the dark!

Man2 leans closer to the group: ..And from what I heard, she could have doubled or tripled the size of the guard! And she said no for that! While she's on a bloody vacation in Varshikar, we'll be mugged and robbed in here!

Man1: A bloody outrage..

Man3: Blimey.. When are the next elections, Lads!?

Man2: I dun' know, lads. She writes down all fancy laws but doesn't bother if they are being obeyed or not. Siltaris doesn't care about the town..

A quick spreading rumor can be heard about the town pertaining to how well it appears the safety of Trollsbane seems to be improving.

A few better carried voices can be heard over the loud background of citizens crafting and carrying on with there everyday lives.

"Aye I say its about time the guard got someone in charge again though I dont know if I really trust them Lizardfolk..."

"Hey at least the new leader of the guard is someone that can handle himself. I hear that now that he is in charge there having so many apply for the guard that many are being turned down."

"Well I know one group was turned down today. From what I understand this new Lieutenant actually asked the governor not to admit them due to him having little trust for the shady mercenaries. It was said that he mentioned something on the lines of them not being skilled enough to hardly meet standards."

"I highly doubt he would say such a thing a thing about that group"

"I don’t know, from what I understand Taliss Kazzxs is quite the fighter. I hear not only can he defeat massive creatures like golems with only his hands he can also bring down those demon skeletons on his own using a decent blade. I have also heard it said that he had previously beaten the Orc mercenary that applied in there last duel."

"well, regardless of who is what...I say the safety around this town is greatly improving. Not only are there guards nearly always on patrol but aside from some people that wernt even citizens being kidnapped I haven’t seen any real crime around here in quite some time."

"Doch ich schwörs dir es war in Bane in der Stadt drin... hee wo gehst du den jetzt hin? ach dann hau halt ab wenn du mir nicht glaubst"

You hear the rumor that after proving his citizenship Taliss Kazzxs easily slaughtered Edward for reason of stupidity and false accusations.

You hear a rumour that Taliss was seen escorting Edward into the prison.

A rumor spreads ridiculously fast that a deranged, and insane man named Seras Darkmarch was seen pinning the heads of both, Taliss and Edward onto pikes and setting just outside the west gate of Troll'sbane.

The 'songs' include "Cheataris, the communal harlot of lizardtown", "Lieutenant Slimeball", "It was mirror that wrecked the Lieutenant's erection, and not me!", "I'm doing time for no crime!" and "the corrupt shitface".

You hear a rumour that there was a large rebellion in Troll's Bane, with the library on fire and the rebels locked in with a giant stone. The fire died down and the stone deteriorated. The library seems to be fine, as do those who left town shouting, "JUSTICE PROVAILS!" Edward Cromwell is also apparently a free man.
