Removal of the #i command.

Removal of the #i command.
I think the !name and Give Name commands suffice. There should be a way to 'Give Name' to someone that you've already given name to.
I dislike the #i command, simply ruins it for fake names.

Lennier, what I mean is that it is only normal there is no #i command. I've played many other roleplaying games, where you can re-name someone as much as you want, and see his/her name like that.
I think at least the !name command or the 'Give Name' (right-click someone) command should be usable as many times as we want, even if we already used it on someone.. This way, those who want to play without the #i can do so.
From now on, I'll never use the #i command anymore, and encourage people to do the same. Who's in? Say no to #i!

listen! its the perfect solution! If players are given the ability to introduce ANY name they want, then characters would have no idea if they are given a fake or real name. So there would be no meta gaming suspicion that the character is thief.
Then players can still !name people, you can #i your own name and you can #i "fake name". solves everything!

stop blackballing the #i-command and leave it to those who like to use it.
alright alright, I agree, being able to use the !name-command any time you wish to doesn't sound bad to me either, but leave your hands off the #i-command
*hides the innocent little #i-command behind her back, egdes backwards towards the door*

Well, that sounds indeed good, it may be their memory, but it is YOU who introduces.Salathe wrote:listen! its the perfect solution! i Think the ability to #i whatever we want, like salathe said, would be good, just make it so #i checks for any text after the #i, and uses that for the name if its there, otherwise it uses the regular name.
Like
'#i Zen Culbad' would make people see my thief as his fake name
Whereas a regular #i without any other text and they'd see 'Cris Mikel Felko"

You can !name someone as many times as you want. When you identify them type whatever !name123456789 Karl Marx123456789 this way when their name shows up it also has their number so later on you can go back and change it to this !name123456789 Smelly Trout123456789Karl wrote:Lennier, what I mean is that it is only normal there is no #i command. You can give name but it DOESN'T SHOW THEIR NUMBER.
And this isn't what this is about. When you !name someone you ooc know that isn't their real name. If someone gives you a fake name, many people use the ooc knowledge to suspect them.

Dude, I used to have tons of people with lets say William Elderberry23528727 or Gort Greegog238479827. It used to let you the system still should unless they changed it.

Oooh. Well anyway you're in a completely different topic?
This topic is about being able to lie about your name without people suspecting you ooc, not about changing !names.
