Planning the Future.

Post by Kevin Lightdot »

((Open RP, if anyone wishes to join.))

Kevin walked past the rockface by Varshikar, drawing something out roughly on paper as he did, inspecting the rock rather closely. Soon he moved back to Varshikar, with a few old, dirty, but unwritten sheets of parchment, aswell as a book, wich a few might know as his diary.

((Just a reminded to those knowing it: http://illarion.org/community/forums/vi ... ight=diary))

He sat at the table by the Varshikar library, at his usual spot, preparing some things, putting down a few pieces of coal, some of wich cut to have more clear tips. Also putting down the paper, his diary, and a bottle of water, wich he took a sip of before he actually rested it on the table.

"I've put this off far too long, I really should actually get started, instead of just dreaming about it." He said to himself, starting to draw something rather roughly on the parchment, cheating some things off the older piece he drew on whilst walking past the rockface.

Soon enough Kevin stood up, nodding contently to himself, having written some raw drawings of what seemed to be a house inside of the mountains, aswell as a parchment with texts and calculations.

"200 Silvers, now I just need to calculate the ammount of materials I am going to need another time."

He looked up happilly, but something soon seemed to catch his mind, as he gazed towards Trollsbane, the happy expression fading... ending with a sigh. He then slowly just cleaned up his work, putting it away inside of the depot.

A young child, not more then the age of sixteen, was wondering about, on the way to Varshikar, coming from the east. He constantly looked around, susceptible to ever noise, even a little sound could could snatch his attention instantly. He tried to be silent in his steps, and avoided open spaces whenever possible. At times he even came to a short pause, glancing behind him with a doubtful look, but soon after carrying on again.

Ha walked into the town slowly while again looking over his shoulder, and he comes to an immediate halt as he turns his head back, spotting the man near the depot. A little frightened, he hurries back and around a building, hoping he wasn't seen, though due to his panic, he didn't think about being silent while running back, causing him to be otherwise.

Peeking from around the corner, he stood there, gazing at person with his young worried eyes, his hands laying stiff against the wall.

Hours later... after the boy had taken his leave, Kevin remained there on a chair by the table, using his hands to support aswell as cover his troubled face. Muttering inaudibly to himself the words:

"I am such a wreck... how could anyone ever really trust me? Gods... how can I ever make people trust me?"

And there he remained... for a time longer...

The child walked away and out of the town, after having a talk with Kevin. A thoughtful look settled on his face, accompanied by a frown on his lips. The conversation had left him confused, as it involved a mixture of emotions, happiness, fear, anger and compassion.

He returned to the place he woke up at, where the stillness and the tranquility were even in that ambient. He layed down, reflecting about some unsure words which he barely heard from the man.

Some days had passed, and Kevin had not really been too active when it came to people, trying to repress his thoughts in the Varshikar library, reading some of the old books left there, mainly ones documenting magic, sitting there he read, hoping to discover some things, though the main purpose was to get his mind off what had happened.

After some hours of reading this day, his mind began to wander again though...

Trust... who would trust a man that even considered joining Darlok?
Oh that event had hurt his mother so, he once more gazed up scornfully to Castle Northerot, as he had done plenty of times ever since that incident, though he hated that man, Darlok, who had kept silent for the time now more than ever, he also still hated the part of himself that ever considered joining him, for just the promise of power...

Time continued....
