FYI
I almost made a mistake tonight. I attacked some trolls, found out one can cast spells, and I opened a portal to get the He@@ out of there!
It followed toward me, but as it hit the portal before I could reach it, nothing happened. Quaking in my boots, I ran as fast as I could to a cross and lost it, but interesting that Trolls didn't go through the portal anymore.
Either staff fixed this problem, or they should examine why Trolls don't go through portals and implement this on all creatures.

This is currently so if the monster is spawned by a normal spawnpoint. But not if its spawned by a script. I don't know how the golem is handeled.Hadrian_Abela wrote:Can we have a monster spawn limit area or something? Similar to "Monsters can't move near the cross" Monsters can't step out of their areas? Or why on earth DO they have the ability to use portals?

One point to add: Don't take away freedom in exchange for security - for security might become rather lame in the long run.
From a technical point of view, no action is needed imho. As Cassandra stated, monsters usually stay around their spawn points if no PC interferes. Also, monsters using teleporters is nothing I'd remove. It might be reasonable to place extremely strong monsters like golems in caves or on mountains.
I remember on old discussion about people opening portals near spawns or luring monsters to town. It was considered PK (with other methods) if no roleplaying background is involved. But villains might have a valid reason.
