The day was dawning when Meriel put down the nightangelblossom on the cold, snowcovered ground. Left of her stood Eleas, holding Meriels hand; infront of her was the grave of her daughter.
They both had remained silent after Meriel had told the blind boy the story of her daughter. A cold wind was blowing.
An era ended with this. A time of sadness, a time of laughter. A time of many mistakes and a time of fortune. Meriel wouldn't leave this island without leaving traces, she knew that much. She has changed many things on Gobaith, without anyone noticing her being in the background and pulling the strings. So many things she had done, yet never been punished. So many things she had caused, yet without ever being the middle of interest. Sometimes Meriel wondered how she had managed that.
Meriel looked to her left and quietly examined Eleas, who was squeezing her hand. In a soft voice she spoke to him: "Let us go to the harbour now. Phaedra is already waiting there and the ship must be coming soon."
Eleas nodded and they both turned to leave the graveyard and made their way to the harbour.
"Though most of my lifetime I felt like the gods have forsaken me, Eleas...", she said quietly. "... I have to thank them, because they blessed me with you."
Kevin sat at the harbour, atop of one of the larger, wooden posts used to keep the peer up.
Gazing out at the sea silently, his expression rather thoughtfull.
Without any knowing of whom was headed this way, one of the people he had grown to hate, though perhaps because of misunderstanding... others all spoke so good of her? But how could this be?
Though this woman was not on his mind at the current time, the person he was thinking of was a powerfull man, one from old times.
Darlok was that man.
The young boy's expression grew rather saddened, even though he had recently been branded 'hero of Varshikar'.
Though he was glad about saving the man, the title did not mean much to him, or at least not at this time.
Only very few knew of how he was associated with the man, allied or opposed, this was still the only man that could grant him that thing he still did long for inside, the power to make his doings take the course he wished them. And that desire was known by even less...
But such was unlikely to be the main event this day, as on their way here was another of the great evils seen through his eyes, one who he had several times wished dead.
Though this woman was currently not at his mind nor his location yet, in his eyes there was still a score to settle with her...
He nodded dryly, his hand risen slightly, barred onto Meriel's. Every words of hers filtering through his attentive listen as he tilted his head in improvement's, yet obviously not understanding all she speaks.
They walked along streets that lead the cemetery to the harbor, him walking at a near distance, not daring to unlock his hand off hers, with his free one, the rod swept over the ground, tapping the marbled streets at each few steps.
"My.. father used to .. to tell me it was a curse .. That They had removed my sight for .. all the wrongdoings he had done.." faltered Eleas, not sure if the moment would be adapted to speak of yet another dead relative."But my.. my mother would say it .. it was a gift.. to avoid .. avoid seeing all the heinousnesses of the world.."He stammered, his hand clinching a little more upon the elf's as they nearly arrived at the harbor.
As Edward told her, Meriel leaving the Island she was shocked, very shocked.
Meriel with all her coldness was like a sister for her. But.. she ponders short,
maybe it would be better she is gone with the blind child.
One Person less she need to worried about Darlok.
But she want tell her goodbye, a last moment looking in her eyes.
" I should use a Portal-Book to the harbour... please by the gods, let me see her to say goodbye "
