Noone said something from ignoring, I said react, if your char would react in the one or other way, then you writte this, just like It was said, after I have done the "slap" he could just say "struggels himself free and ducks" I could have lived with this, but you can't just writte everytime " #me tries this and that" every #me aktion is more or less a trie, just don't use #me as a law, that you must follow, interact with it, thats rp boy, because if you don't then do you all just play some theater where you follow a straigth line, instead of producing your char there, my char is a figther with armoure dlegs, and I don't think she would hop around and holding her leg because someone just kicked her, sorry but I didn't knew this char, so I couldnt tell if he was extrem agil and he could easily dodge the slap, but not me grabbing him...riiiiggghhhtttt.AlexRose wrote:. You can't just ignore #mes which you choose to or because you think the character did a stupid thing..
I just want to say you, back then we had people who actually reacted on #me's and didn't just think that an #me forces everyone else to follow it.You can't do something in which the other player has no way of responding. It is you who is in the wrong here, and you should start thinking of illarion's rp as it is today, rather than what you could get away with some years back.
I didn't ignore his #me I said i reacted, even with just a poor "outch" on it, would he attacked again then my char would have some serious harm, but to just some kind of kick, but this all just got down the way because people shouting "AHHH AHH LOOK I CAN'T REACT AND TAKE EVERYTHING AS A SPOKEN WORD, FORCED RP !!!111 oneeleven"His character is entitled to make a stupid decision. This doesn't make his #me invalid, it just means maybe the goblin could kick her in the shin, she could be hurt a little and he could hop up and down on the spot, grabbing his foot as it hurts. You can't force rp someone and then ignore a #me because it doesn't suit you -.- .

One might say that you can react *after* having your head chopped off. You can still do #mes to better reflect the blood gently trickling from your head, and the surprised look shown in their eyes as the last strand of skin keeping their head attached is snapped.NirAntae wrote:Now, I am against powergaming as much or more than most people... and maybe it's just me... but it sure seems to me that you can still react *after* being slapped. Some people have been going WAY too far with the 'no force-RP' argument, IMHO.Power emotes, which have effects on other characters and don't give them the opportunity to react are prohibited (e.g. "#me chops off the dwarf's head").
You might consider it 'rude' RP... but not strictly speaking 'forced' RP, as you are perfectly able to respond to it.
And a #me is an action, whatever is #me'd actually is meant to happen. For instance you couldn't (or shouldnt is probably a better word) respond to a #me walks down the street, with a spring in his step, whistling a melodic tune with a '#me looks at the person's glum face and asks him "What is the matter, you dont seem your usual self" or respond to a '#me slaps the man' with a '#me looks at the woman's petite hands by her sides, his facial expression vacant"
Perhaps these examples are all over the top, but you get the picture.

lofl!!! that really made me laughPellandria wrote: ...FORCED RP !!!111 oneeleven"
anyway...i think "light" forced rp can be tollerated it's just a slap anyway.
so would this be wrong:
#me walks past him and accidentally tries to step on him ??
you can't...accidentally try can you? but it does involve the other char.
then again as someone already said before (cromwell i think)...if one doesn't use the magic word tries just consider it is there, and react to it.

Is it so hard for you to to just use a #me tries???
And you cant avoid his char ingame because of an ooc matter...
@Abcfant: #me walks past him, but sudenly stumbles, accidently steping on the man if he does not move.
Response: #me makes a painfull expression as he gets steped on.
or
#me jumps back as the man passes, looking rather mad.
@topic: Noobs are allways irritating, but with no noobs, soon there will be no Illa. I see no problem with noobs willing to learn.

Why would a new player be reading the forums? Some don't even read the rules....Rasteel Olin wrote:This topic sucks, is transforming into a new FW Battlefield, and should not only be locked, but deleted too. Imagine a new player coming in and reading it.. It would discourage me to even try and play the game.
