The Wandering Teenage Mind

Post by Kevin Lightdot »

((Just a little reminder that this is completely open rp for *anyone* who may just even be passing Varshikar at the time or what ever. And could come across Kev, you don't have to know him yet or so. ))

Kevin sat silently on a chair by the workshop in Varshikar, his expression seemed a thoughtfull one, simply gazing out to the road.
With his legs still weak from an injury, still bandaged up in cloth below his trousers, revealing some slight irregularities in his trousers because of that, slight enough to be missed, but clear enough for anyone who'd look.

Several things keeping his mind busy, things concering Varshikar and it's new leader.
Though she once told him that she'd still remember him as soon as she got her own child, his mind had begun to wander again. Would she really still make some time for him? She could just aswell discard him.. after all, she'd now would be getting a child of her own, why bother with him? He was a failure after all, wasn't he?

His expression slowly grew more sad, and perhaps angry.
Now he just sat there... silent but toughtfull.

((open rp!))

Airin sat in the tavern in Trollsbane, with his lute lowered to his side. He sits alone for it is late at night. The door is open and a cool breeze makes him stand up and go sit by the fire. He stares into the fire and his mind starts to wander:

He thinks back to his meeting with the Lizard a few days back. He thinks how the lizard insulted him and made a fool of him. "That lizard will pay" he thinks to himself. He remembers hearing of a man that would do just about anything for money.

Airin starts to smile as he pulls out a sheet of paper and a quil, preparing to send a dove.

Kevin, after having gotten a nights rest moved to the same table wich he sat on before again, though this time on a chair on the other side, his face now pointed towards Northerot castle. He sighed softly, and after a few seconds of thinking took out a rather thick book.

He opened it slowly after taking a short look at it's cover, how it had remained so well over the long time he had kept it...
After having opened it he slowly started to read all the pages in it.
A mixture of emotions would pass through him, mostly sad ones...
"I wasn't ever able to protect myself and others back then... And it's once again the same... over 10 years later..." He muttered to himself, a tear appearing in his right eye. He looked away from the book, squinting his eyes shut for a few seconds. Then looking up at the castle again, it was a wreck... but it still contained much power. Power he yearned to wield...

He bit his lip at the thoughts of what else could rest in there..
But no, it was worth it! He could finaly do what he had always wished, and only once been able to do. Beat those whom he wished to beat, protect those who he wished to protect.

Wether everyone would approve of the way he got it, or not, that fact had no value with him at the current time. If only his mother wouldn't find out..

After a good time he looked back down onto the book once more, moving his quill to the first empty page he found, starting to write in it:

After over ten years, he finaly wrote in it once more a short diary entry.

The worst thing had happened, his mother found out on the way back from a mining trip. After she had walked away from him there where his legs had given up and started to cry. His mind raced, everything he did was wrong, wrong, all wrong. He was useless, he was an idiot and even worse he had joined his mothers greatest living enemy.

He sat there some minuites more before getting up, leaving his findings from the mine behind and running after her, and once he was closing in on her he had tripped on a rock, crashing down onto the ground, partly against the rocky mountain base. Even though he himself did not notice yet his head had started to bleed, turning the colour of his hair to dark red. He soon again ran after her, finding her crying. She did not want a thing to do with him anymore.

He knew he had made possibly the largest mistake in his life and in the rush of the moment tried to end it, though he collapsed due to his head injury before he could, waking up only to find his wounds partly healed by a spell, with Maggie and Samantha speaking about him and what to do with him.

Did they want to kill him? After all he could tell Darlok about all of their plans. Even though they may havn't known he would never betray his mother like that, nor wish to endanger people in such a way.
So he had drawn his sword, only to hear Samantha cursing about how he should not attack the two even though he was unable to even lift it properly.
And lift it he didn't slowly sliding the sword off him, and pointing the blade for his heart, but before he could end himself Samantha hit the sword away from him with her staff.

They had eventually decided to keep him free in Varshikar for the time being at least, as they had not much of another option and Maggie wished not to restrain him to the bed.

Kevin had little remembrence of the time after he had passed out due to the head injury.

A few days later, in the late evening he sat on the rocky surface of the mountains overlooking Varshikar Square. He opened his Diary once more, giving a rather heavy sigh as he started to fill the pages with words and tears.

Having done that he just sat there in thought, wondering where to go, what to do and how his girlfriend would react to it.
Even though he tried not to think about his mother, and how she would be feeling he did soon start to do so whilst gazing into the now night sky.

Tears struck his eyes once more, sobbing softly and lonely on the mountain for the rest of the night... till he fell asleep...

Kevin would wake up the next day, and around noon return to the mountainside he sat on before, overlooking Varshikar, open for near anyone to see him sitting. He again started to write in his diary, becoming tearfull again as he did so.

((Never mind the date, I kinda made it to early and posted it later. It's supposed to be written on the current date.))

He sighed once more as he finished to write, having wetted the paper again. He didn't cry very loudly as he did the day before, but he was still quite very sad about it all. Sitting on his lone rock, staring into Varshikar..

Walking around in Varshikar she overlooked the castle.

"It's really ugly, all wrecked and stuff.." she said to herself. She though of how she could build it up again, and create a big and nice castle for her to live in, and she could be the princess she allways wanted to be. Although, it wouldn't be possible, it got a new owner now. Some guy named Darlok.

She though about her girlfriend, Siltaris, how wonderfull it will be to travel with her to her home land, in a few days.. Her mind wandered around for a while and she found herself outside of town, walking up the mountain.

After a while of climbing she heard some noices and she snapped back to reality. Walking in the direction of the sounds, she saw a figure sitting by the edge, overlooking the town, with an open book in his lap.

She walked up to him silently, now seeing it's Kevin. She looks over his shoulder, folding her hands behind her back.

"What'cha reading?" she asks, curious about the text in the book, unable to read it.

Kevin gave a rather heavy sigh as he looked up at the girl, offering her a small, weak smile. "Nothing.." He spoke somewhat softly while he closed it up, revealing it's cover with his name on it to her. Still holding it in both hands somewhat thoughtfully, moving his gaze back out to the distance beyond Varshikar.

"Okie, if you say so. Hey, by the way.. I'm travelling away with Siltaris. We're going to her home town, so I won't be back until next year. We're going tomorrow. So.. I'll be going now!"

She says so, waves at him and turns, walking down the path she came up from. Her usual simple white dress flows in the wind as if waving goodbye at him.
