obsolete post (got out of line)

Post by Damien »

This goes out mainly to characters with the teaching rune, but also to mage characters with all other runes AND who played their characters for a longer time.
-> Except for Samantha (the PO stated that his char would never agree to work in the same place as several other characters his character doesn't like (mainly for alignment causes)).

The Academy has a supportive thing that enables to teach every rune even without powergamed skills.

We want to define the use and the OOC rules for that OOC, therefor we should talk about how it's done, what runes to teach when, personal requirements of the student character (NOT related to the change of anything engine-based), etc.

Complaints and other stuff DOES NOT BELONG HERE. It's just about organizing the TEACHING.

At first, the main question : Who of the mage players is interested in teaching ?

Please post the true fact, Damien.

I said i will never ignore my chars roleplay, her moral and her principles and let her teacxh and work at the side of evil mages and other sorts like them. not like many other players who are quick ignoring their chars rp and morals aslong as it fits their ooc wishes.

Samantha simply will never work at the side of necromancers, evil mages and criminals. Period. And i wont break her roleplay like that just because you want it so.

but of course like often just those get benefits in this game who give a shit on character true roleplay and bend their chars morals and principles whenever they want to.

and i am interested in teaching. but for that i wont ignore my chars roleplay and her character.

I am interested in teaching with my char Meriel Pelith. I play her for quite a while now (don't even have all the runes *g*)

I created Meriel to become the teacher for the 'evil' mages one day and I guess it's unnecessary to mention that she's still into that direction.

Did i not say that this topic is NOT for complaints and discussions ? (Noone ever said she has to work WITH them. But the teaching place is one and the same and we will not create a second one. Period too.)

I hope i made myself clear enough. Please DO NOT POST HERE if you have no mage character with high abilities, DO NOT POST HERE if you are not interested in teaching, and DO NOT POST HERE if you are PO Samantha because she has problems with the alignment of some other mage chars ingame (AS I WROTE ABOVE) and therefor the player is not interested.

@Meriel : The Char "meriel" doesn't quite match the requirements ;) it should be at least somewhat senior mage characters, if not having the teaching rune.

I don't prefer placing a story into "good" and "evil" schematics. Takes the depth out of stories and the sense out of real RP, reducing it to a mere conflict base for engine PvP. Many of the problems between players originate in defined alignments of their characters like "i am so pure and good" and "i am so frickin evil". Every "evil" aligned character should have some good sides, every "good" aligned character has or should have the one or other dark trait.
Meriel is a well-played "evil" character because the character acts "evil" sometimes for selfish reasons mainly, not for the "i am so evil !"-reason. But the char can act good too. It's a bitch, trying to gain wealth and influence the "easy" way, and should be seen as quite "childish" by her own people who has to fall on her behind to learn about life - Anyhow it's an out-of-the-line- character, going strictly against what the most elven beings should be acted like : Somewhat wise, somewhat nature-loving and with a somewhat pure, non-malevolent nature. We had many "worse than meriel played) dark-aligned elf characters lately, and when out-of-the-line-characters make the picture you get ingame, something isn't right ;o)

Patric, the reasons WHY you see your char Samantha unfitting DO NOT COUNT here ! I tried to make pretty clear FOR WHAT this thread is.

What of
(the PO stated that his char would never agree to work in the same place as several other characters his character doesn't like (mainly for alignment causes))
was unclear to you ?

I will get this thread closed, it's filled with too many discussions already, and start a new one with clearer instructions.
DO NOT DARE to post on the other thread. Take that as a last warning.
