You have a rank with warlock in it……
A warlord does not cast magic
A warlock is a traitor
The work means traitor of witches
So you high ranks, warlock is a traitor?
Please know what the word you uses mean

A Warlock does not mean traitor. You obviously have a very limited knowledge and a closed mind. I'm guessing you've probably only heard of warlock in one scenario as a traitor.

If all else fails, go check in the dicitonary kid.

To some people it may mean traitor, but it is intended to be taken as a form of spellcaster.

I guess that the moderator won’t accept this. But to a wiccan a warlock is  an insult. What would you think if I said “ and the 5th rank is a Niger” you see. Its just like that to wiccans!

Apparently, you are the only one who has had a problem with it.  Just do not take it personally, for that is not what he meant.  He may change it in the future. (maybe, i am not sure)

In case you haven't noticed, the magic academy ranks are in english not wiccan. So warlock is used as its definition in english, not wiccan ok?

I think the rank names are well suited to the mage class.  They are in english, so the meaning we go by is the english meaning.

It is your choice on how you interpret a word or phrase.  I think you are trying to manipulate it into a racist remark.  It all depends on how you look at it.  And, you learned a new meaning today!

Did you know that there are other countries besides yours kid?
You might be surprised to find that its not against the law to say Warlock in many countries.

Go look in an english dictionary.

And why don't you look in this website under Rules - Magic System - Magician's Magic where the word Warlock is used there

(OOC) It is a perfectly acceptable term in the main countries that make up the playing population.  If they forbid the use of all terms that may be interpreted as "bad" words, there wouldn't be very many words that one is allowed to use.  Think about that.

(OOC) Words can mean very different things in different languages, as is apparent here.  You would only be happy if there was only one language and every word meant the same across the world.  Maybe not.

PS: That would be kinda boring.

On the top left conrer of this website under the flags there is a section with a picture of a book next to it called Rules - Magic System - Magician's Magic, and the word warlock is used there.

The word warlock has been used many times before in other places too (for example: final fantasy from squaresoft).

Why don't you try to get a lawyer and sue someobdy for it and see what happens.

@Sir crystal star:
That is the reason you think?  If anyone said those things, they would stand an equal chance of being deleted as you, so dont feel singled out, ok?  Maybe next time, don't argue such a minute point like one word with the whole world.

Report to the citizens of Illarion: beware of Sir crystal star, he has made threats of violence toward the people of Illarion.  Please use adequate protection when near him, as he is currently considered dangerous to the public.  He is under the influence of a nasty unqualified grudge against the Magic Academy for using the word "warlock" and has decided to take out his anger on the people of Illarion.  Please be careful out there.

Sir Christal star, if you feel discriminated by the word "warlock", how about not joining the magic academy? That way you won't gain the magic academy rank of "warlock", no one will call you a "warlock" and everything is fine, right? I haven't noticed that anyone forced you to join the guild and  gain this rank. If this was so, I would have been on your side.
And now, "have fun" with the word, as you call it and sue us.

PS: I have heard the word "warlock" only in the pen&paper RPG "Rolemaster", where it is used for a fighting mage. I haven't found it in any dictionary, so I just picked it without knowing the definition. If you would have simply posted the definition, without going mad at everyone, I would have changed it. Now I will only change it if you send me a court order to change it.
