Magical weapons
I have noticed that we have things like poisened serinjah-swords, magical serinjah-swords, magical longswords, poisened long axes, magical long axes, and some more poisened slashing weapons. We have one kind of magical staff witch is next to impossible to obtain(No player can make one and no monsters drop them, unlike all the items I listed above). With the current magical longswords there are no concussion weapons to match up. The "leach" effect is not a bad thing and is reasonable. I do think it should be added to a morning star or mace. We could have a magical morning star or mace by doing what was done with the longsword and serinjah-sword; add purple/magical graphic. It is rather annoying to me that I can take one character with blue slashing and parry skills in the crypt and kill everything with ease, but take my character with green concussion and parry skills to the same place and struggle greatly(mostly same items. Not that it matters much if they are both fully equipt).
Are we trying to make concussion weapons useless?

No, its because if every weapon category had a magical, or rather large variety of magical weapons to it then they would lose their rare quality and be common for magical weapons to exist.
And to be honest, concussion already beats any magical weapon because magical weapons are 1 handed and are relatively weak in comparison to what an elven mage staff can do.

Then how come concussion isn't useless now? Nor archery? Nor puncture? Nor wrestling? Varying armors are good against concussion, while bad against slash, and vice versa. No fighting skill is bad, and don't you think that the people who made the fighting system would make sure that the hours they spent working on the other fighting skills besides slash weren't wasted by having magical blades ingame?

No time was wasted just more time was spent on slashing. You can't argue that. Slashing weapons are clearly more complete than anything else is. I don't accually think concussion is useless it just is nowhere near where slasing is. I think archery is usefull, I think puncture is usefull(yes there are magic bows and daggers Stephen, a few of each. Infact the only skill where you use weapons that dosent have a weapon with a magical effect is concussion).

Garrett, I fail to see what is so outrageous in requesting concussion based characters also have the ability to gain magical concussion weapons.
Its a fair request, and I would support it. Back in the days of the temple Nalzaxx had:
3 Magical Serinjah
2 Magical Axe
6 Poisoned Serinjah
1 Magical Broadsword
1 Drow Broadsword
1 Magical Longsword
And a grand total of:
0 Magical Concussion Weapons
Again you are arguing against implementing something not because it is a poor suggestion, but because you are worried about balancing of these weapons. Let them be added as useful contributions to the game and THEN balanced appropriately.
Jeez

Magical concussion weapons already exist. For the tenth time. Elven battlestaffs get regalias, and no that doesnt rely on someone having magic powers to use them. Infact THAT is a major advantage over regular blades. Broadswords also get similar regalias, but YOU CANNOT smith them. Whereas anyone with mediocry carpentry can make and sell you an elven staff for 1 silver.
Once it is implemented, i assume with the new magic system, people will be able to get EVERY elven battlestaff magicked up by a specific element. Whereas people with slash will need to get a rare drop to get a weapon, or find broadswords which are difficult to find one with good quality and good life span because of the fact you cannot smith them.
so shush.

Staves with regalias are impossible to get without pushing.
Magic slashing weapons and all sorts can be got easily and without pushing.
This is the arguement. Fact.
Concussion weapons that are not staff based, like a magical mace for example is all thats needed, its not stupid, it does not need a "so shush".
It would widen the already short range of weapons for a concussive party and add just as much rp as the slashing party already has.
Personally i do not see why there should be any discussion against it.
