RP Battles!

Post by swish1 »

Okay, sometimes when I battle this is what happens, so I am forced to do OCC

Maybe in the middle of the battle:

Me: #me strikes hard and examines other to see if he is hurt
Other person: #me seems barely scratched

Five seconds later
Other person: Stop! I yield!

What kind of RP is that!
Can we stop doing that?
Also, I use OCC to see my power see:

Someone reallys strong VS ME:
Me:#me strikes hard
Me: #o Health update?
Them: #o I am almost full

Well, I do that know how much I improved.. Is that wrong?

Also, why we should have other's health bars when fighiting.

Example 1:

Me vs Someone else
#me strikes hard trying to parry
This is me thinking, I am critical health 1/5 I should quit maybe I can do it?

Other:
Oh no I am going to die soon I hope he cant hold off

Me: I yield
Other: Wow your good you could have killed me
Me: Oh come on I could have won

But, rather an important example for health bar

Me at skeletons
Actually happend
Oh no my health is critical like 1 percent.
I cannot do it but if I run I will get hit bad.
#me strikes hard very worn out
The skeleton dies so it would help if we had health bars atleast on NPC

We should never have health bars, It removes all elements of surprise in combat.

It also turns people into pkers, who will know how good they are by seeing the other persons health, knowing if they should run or not and go kill some farmer.

whispering ooc to see how much you hurt the other guy is not neccesarily bad..

It isn't to bad if you tell people, it can be used as a way of indicating of how hurt someone realy is.
But it *can* be exlpoited.

So you know just because you get a critical hit against someone does not mean you did that much damage. I have been critically hit before and it feels as if a fly bit me. All depends who I am fighting and how strong they are compared to how strong my armor is and myself

Richard, say you were doing 1 percent damage.. When you do 2 then you get a critical hit.. But that is to the person attacking to the other if they are strong yes it would be fly bite

Criticals have nothing to do with anything you turd.

Its just based on your chars certain attribs.

And a crit could be done on your gloves and do shit all damage.

Also, it could be done by a strong char on your chest but if you have good armour, shit all damage.

Or as I found out against Arameh, it could be done on your gloves and do shit loads of damage

I remember Richard was dueling Ssafar and Ssafar got a critical on Richard's chest and it did nothing. Literally it was like 1% and all Richard had was some very good full leather armor. Then PO Ssafar asked OOC how much it had done and I said practically nothing. He then proceeded to flip out saying it was a critical it had to hurt. How can you be barely scratched by it. Richard described himself as being barely scratched. That was why he flipped out. Now I am gone to say this for the last time. If you are a weak pansy and you go against someone strong and get a critical, nothing will really happen. Just because of the fact that even if they are not using their best weapon and armor their skills are better. If they really wanted to they could throw on their good armor and pull out their best weapon and pwn you in a heart beat. ((Not sure if heart beat is one or two words anyone mind clearing that up for me?))
