Logged During Fight
Okay, I had to go from the crypt. I was running from the mummies. But, then I got some pop up. When I returned I was like dying from bein attacked by 4 mummies. I quickly logged. Is this alright? I mean I had a pop-up so is this wrong?

You shouldn't log when they attack for a reason, like you not agreeing to hand over your things when a robber is clearly going to chop you down if you don't. -.- It doesn't matter if they don't #me chops at you. They have a reason and there is no need to #me it.

Ah, well it was my Spy Sweeper software. It gave a pop-up telling the definitions were updated. Another time anti-virus and fire wall pop-uped to but I was in town. Anyway, i logged back on because i did not want to break the rules I sneaked away from 6 mummies with like a boy-nailsized health. Weird huh?
Also, Spy Sweeper sweeps adware.

Ha, that is untrue!J S wrote:Midrusio was running from Johnny Lant (after a duel, which he had escaped from) and hid in the shadow of the library's building after jumping and logged.
There. I had to say it.
After your ongoing forced RP (:P) I jumped off the roof and ran to the eastern town gate (I also keep an eye on running outside the library's eastern "shadows"...). There I logged out!
Johnny Lant just did not follow me (maybe because you were !gm-ing?

Should still log out somewhere farther when someone chases you, its a little unfair that he could not have had a second chance to find you, log out a few distances from the town when it happens.Miklorius wrote:Ha, that is untrue!J S wrote:Midrusio was running from Johnny Lant (after a duel, which he had escaped from) and hid in the shadow of the library's building after jumping and logged.

But anyway it dosent seem to be agaisnt the rules to log out during a fight, well it is but no one enforces it
Hmm? Its VERY easy to loose someone in illarion if you use your brain a little, maybe I can show you one day.Miklorius wrote:I am against logging out while fighting another character or when in sight of others.
But in this case there is also the issue that you can't run away (and if there is no RP agreement how to play the situation the chase will go on forever... And there was some time to find my trail again).

You can do some funny things with line of sight. Zig-zagging around trees never hurts when you're running away.Arameh wrote:Hmm? Arr Swish you got to keep down the questions man.
You have not been playing very long but just examin what other players do to play etc before asking anything. Even this question was not neccessary, If it was a one off and not entirely your fault then there is no need to post it. Gm's won't complain, and won't exactly scan your logs endlessly for no reason.
And lots of ooc ig about nothing important can get annoying too
Like, asking about my chars.
Just keep it cool man. You learn everything eventually.

I'm just wondering, should anything be held against someone if they 'log' during a fight with a player and it isn't their fault. Say the game had technical difficulties or your internet cut you off. It isn't nessicarily your fault it happened, but it did. Would you schedual a rematch or just say you got knocked out?
