Proposal about Trollsbane Journey book location

Post by Fooser »

Currently: When you open a portal book for Trollsbane, you can walk through and you are automatically in an area in between the western gate, and the seahorse inn.

Problem: This makes the gate keys and walls entirely useless. It's also been abused for sending monsters through.

Would it be possible to move this opened teleport to a place right outside a gate perhaps?

Hey, there are peoples with a more serious problems. Samantha can open portals leading right behind the walls of the grey rose castle, right into its heart :P

Portals, not teleportations. that is a difference ;). Portals are items you open, you step in, and appear somewhere other. Teleportations means you can move from one field on the screen to another through a spell. you can't move more than 10 fields or so away at once.

No, Trolls Bane is a bigger problem then the Grey Rose. When was the last time you heard of anyone banned from the grey rose entering his castle

I think it's fully reasonable for a mage to be able to get into places where a normal character couldn't.

I don't think it's reasonable to be able to completely bypass the gates simply by walking along the bank of a river.

I agree completely with Fooser. Perhaps its that when the new city setup was made the old portal location just wasn't changed because nobody thought to.

No.. I told lennier, there just wasn't a reason to change it back then (so what if you could walk around, you could go right through the gates as the town gates were not lockable)
Tho now there is clear reason to get that all fixed.

We can send more monsters through if that would enforce the point...
