The Transformation
Well, its pretty much like a discussion topic about the new"transformation" of characters ig. I guess I will ask some questions to start it up.
1. If you have been transformed in a different race, should your RP change? Should the character act differently? How would you change their physical attributes?
2. If you have a normal character that didnt get changed, should you take the changed characters like normal peoples of their current race? Should you remember what they did while being changed when they come back to normal?
3. What do you need so that you can reckognise a changed character?
Personally, thats my opinion on this.
1. Yes, Arameh being a Goblin, I play him much more diffrent. He is more energetic, he talks more and gets angry easily, as well as I dont wear heavy armors with him anymore, since I doubt a Goblin really could.. I think we needs to act like, half the character's personality, with half the race's, not sure if my point is really understood..
2. Not to me, because being changed, they arent totally themselves, Arameh telling someone she's a whore aint really usual, but I think it fits for the situation. Also, they arent really their current race, they have only been a few days, they still think mostly like their ancient race.
3. Well, it depends a lot. If it was a lizard that became an elf (fooser), its pretty obvious we cant real recknognise the facial features. But if its been an elf to a human, we sure could. It can depends on other things as well..thats all I had to tell here.

Ive been in for a bit last night and today, and the only player ive interacted with extensively did it as so she didnt recognize Fooser, and I think that is the logical thing to do, why would they be recognized? Even with voice, if you go from a lizard to elf it would be different, or from orc to fairy, etc.
I think RPing at least a bit of change is good, but not like a completely different person. Some physical things the char will have to get used to, but most of everything else would say the same, I would think.

As was said, a large physical change means it would be difficult to tell who it was, but a relatively small one such as human to elf would be fairly easier. They just look a little girlier. A character may be more energetic as a goblin, or like his drink a little more as a dwarf, but no huge personality changes.
Yeah thats pretty much what I meant, the character keeps being the same, but his race modifies him a little bit mentally anda lot physically.Fooser wrote:Ive been in for a bit last night and today, and the only player ive interacted with extensively did it as so she didnt recognize Fooser, and I think that is the logical thing to do, why would they be recognized? 1) No one ever said it was just a physical change. It never said it would not effect your mind, afterall, going from the strongest human warrior on the island to a minor fairy would mess with your head would it not? Perhaps cause someone to lose it entirely? Or if not that, as I wrote in a previous post some people got to turn back when they went to sleep but some didn't, including Stephen. So we must assume he was hit by a far stronger curse then the others and perhaps the stronger the curse the more fairy like he becomes? Why is that so far fetched?
2) Definately you should not recognize them immediately which was done numerous times throughout the day by various characters. Strangely, all of them who recognized Stephen immediately are calling for a permanent ban on me.
3) I play stephen as being a green tinted character with green eyes, green mossy hair, but with similar bone structure to Stephen and he still knows things only stephen knows. So definately talking to the character whom is changed and he/she explaining it to you would let you know who it is. Any otherway is probably not possible.
