poisoning

Post by Alyssa »

question about the poisoning skill

one it doesnt' seem to be very effective with most weapons that are poisoned. wonderin if this is a bug or are the weapons just that hard to use.

also it's impossible to use regular yellow potions against any aggressive npc, because you can't get behind them at all. not sure what i think on that one, but maybe the range of poison should be changed a bit so you are just behind the victim in general (any three squares behind them and facing them) rather then directly behind?

just some thoughts, thanks for listening or not listening.

Npc's do not face you for about 6 or so hits into the battle.. so you have time to run around them.

hey don't newb me here, i know what i'm speaking on.

tried pushing, tried, moving around and have good enough poisoning skill to use it semi effectively. the npc in question on those occasions was a panther npc and a troll npc. and they turned the entire time, or i should say. even when it appeared that they were facing away from me. (after pushing or moving) upon trying to use the poison i would get the message. "your victim shouldn't be looking at you" etc. and this was while they were facing away. i'd be more then happy to test it out later again

The poison works pretty well if you have the needed skill.

so, i should beat him till he tells me, gotcha . npc's seems like they're always turning for me. likes i said i'll experiment until i get it right.

that still leaves the question on poisoned weapons. what the sucess rate like, lets say for an average player with half skill in poison? (not to say i'm avaerage but ya know)

Is a poison dagger a quite magical weapon, which blade is always poisoned?
Or is it thought as a special blade dagger in which you can put poison?

And what skill do you need then? Poison making is IMO herbology and attacking with a poisoned dagger needs no extra skill...

Poison daggers are different items that Daggers, They are coated in poison, need a seperate skill to poison(still uses Punc skill though) And takes FOREVER to learn. Once you get into the lower green area, it sky rockets, And at higher green, you'll be able to poison quite frequently
