A girl in her young twenties watched out a window as rain was falling all over the land. She coughed again and again. The wetter the air got the more she coughed, but she loved the rain. She just wanted to be out in it but the lightening and the thunder kept her confined inside the shop with half a dozen others. She stood thinking about her new apprenticeship, her new clothes and gifts. She was excited, and she felt important for quite possibly the first time in her life. She was meeting new people and seeing new places, it was like a dream come true.
Jeanette coughed again. The people seated at the table behind her kept staring at her, and asking if she was alright. She'd said yes, but apparently saying yes once wasn't enough. They were just being nice, she knew, and that made her feel a little embarrassed. Who wanted attention from someone who didn't really care and was only asking for the sake of being polite?
Shortly the rain wasn't so bad and the storming had stopped. Jeanette left the shop to wander around the town until she recieved a letter. Someone wanted to meet with her. Back to the shop it was! The day had started off so miserable and lonely and now she found herself cheered up. She wondered if Drathe had gotten the letter she sent to him but dismissed the thought as she neared Eliza's shop. There was no time for worrying just now.
