crafting wont lvl?

crafting wont lvl?
ive been cuting hundreds of branches and turning them into flails and staff handles but i have grown a lvl. the first time i made a bowl i lvled but now i cant. why cant i?
If you get a message saying "you cannot concentrate any longer" or something to that effect you no longer can learn anymore. Roleplay eating diner, sit around and talk, ect for a while then start working again. Being logged in causes this to go away faster than being logged out, but it does go away logged out.

Also, if you reach a certain level, you don't learn from easy items anymore. Craft something more complex.
To tell you a secret, you can exspect to lvl up every ~50 actions - sometimes faster, sometimes slower, it is random. The higher your skill gets, the slower the learning speed (up to 0 if you maxed a skill).
