When the new client comes...
What will happen with all that has happened before?
Would everything restart like nothing ever happened?
Would we just have to go on and pretend everyone else died?
Would we just have to make our characters again and earn everything we have now again?
I guess by the time the new client is released i'll be playing again so i'd just like to ask.

The new client also features a cool end-of-the-world-scenario where the island is overrun by mad man-and-castle-stamping cow herds.
And it will have a completely new map thing of course.
Necrophocius Fungus will be in-built as illarion world president.
Every character inhabiting a town will have to pay taxes of ten copper per minute (or bribe the staff to avoid that).
Only one of the above sentences is kinda true, even though it may have a total different meaning than you may expect.

There will be no major changes to chars and the game world. But many things will look different (and hopefully better).
Actually, the new client was being tested on the game server for the last 2 months and you should not have noticed anything - except maybe for an ominous feeling of impeding change
I liked the part about the staff being bribed, though.

I'll pay 5.50 pounds if the new client is here tomorrow.

Well, the new client will enable some neat features; so there will be some further changes to the gameplay as well. But in principle, everything will stay the way it is. The maps might change (oops, sorry, Damien), but I think we don't need an apocalyptic reason for some further rivers or rocks. You know, there are gods who do such stuff all the time of their day, it's kinda normal in Illarion
