In a house hidden by mountains a young girl wakes. Her eyes scan the room wearily before she slides off the bed and lets her feet touch the cold floor. She carefully slips on a pair of leather boots, and pulls a cloak around her shoulders. She stops, and looks around the room.
Her eyes travel to the room in wich Lapiz sleeps, and she smiles softly. He had been kind to her, but she couldn't wait a second longer. She had to come back.
She heads to the door, and reaches for the handle, but changes her mind and turns around. She takes a quill and parchment from the desk he was sitting at earlier, and scratches a short message onto it.
I am sorry to leave like this, but I miss everyone in my town so much. It has been long since I left, and I can only imagine my family is worried. I know you volunteered to take me back, but I didn't want to wake you, and I couldn't sleep. If you permit it...I would like to come visit you sometimes. Maybe you could even teach me like you spoke of.

Lina sets down the quill, and glances one more time to the elf.

she mouths, and she opens the door, stepping out into the snow filled mountains.
She smiles thinking of her family. She will get to see Saradomin, and Breanna and little Soren. She would finally get to see them again...

Lina walks near the forest, her brow furrowed with confusion. No one seemed to have seen her parents recently, no matter who she asked, and although she had looked hard, neither had she.
they probably just went to the monastery...or that island they like so much.
These thoughts satisfied Lina, and she smiled. She turned around so she could head back to town, and her foot kicked something.
It was a piece of wood...all covered in vines. Her eyes flickered as she saw an S peeking from under the vines. She reached out her hands and scraped away some of the vines to first reveal an A, than an R. Her eyes opened wide, and she tore the vines away frantically. It couldn't be him...
Saradom...she looked towards the place where the other letters would be, but she didn't want to look at it. She didn't want it to be true. She reluctantly pulled away the last of the vines, and her eyes filled with tears.
I love you daddy...I always will
She lay down on the grass, her head touching the board, and thought about coming to trollsbane. How fast everything had changed.....It had been the best thing ever, why did it have to end.
Lina curled up, and tucked her head in her arms.
I'm still with you...always

Lapiz walked up silently to Lina, feeling the sadness within her soul he reached through the barricades around her mind and whispered softly only to her spirit, and hers alone...
"I am sorry.. Did you know this.. Man?"
He exited the sanctum wich her mind was located within and allthough he didnot open his mouth he had made Lina understand his words..
"Atra gülai un ilian tauthr ono un atra ono waíse skölir frá rauthr.." He whispers in the wind, a blessing in an ancient and nearly forgotten language..
Standing in the evenings last sunlight he waited for the girls reply and silently whispered to the trees to watch over the man who was buried here..
"I am sorry.. Did you know this.. Man?"

He nods to her and kneels down beside her, putting a hand on her shoulder..
"It must be great pain to see this. Have you found any of your other parents yet?" He says and asks silently to her.
"There is one thing you should know.. If you don't find your parents, or anyone else to take care of you, you can allways find me here..." He hands her a small piece of paper with a fine map back to his treetop house..
"I will not make you do anything, it is but your own choice. If you want, I will take you back right now. If you want, I will follow you and try to find your parents. If you want, I will follow you wherever you want, or stay put if that is your choice."
He nods to himself and looks straight into Lina's eyes with his own sharp, azureblue eyes..

"mommy dissapeared a while back. We looked around for her, and she just stopped being there. We didn't know why."
Lina looks around sadly, and tightens her grip around her knees.
"I have a baby brother...but if no one was there to take care of him...I don't know where he could be"
Lina stops, and uncurls, sitting up. She gently rubs the tears from her eyes.
"I don't need another parent....I need a teacher, and if you can be that...I am truly grateful"
Lina's face a moment ago filled with sorrow is covered with a stony mask, and she looks up hoping it's alright.
"that's all I need" she says again

Lina hesitantly climbs onto his back, and looks down at him.
I am making a choice that is neither good nor bad. I am choosing to take up my old life rather than leave it behind, but what if I fail...will it really be that bad? I have t wonder..if maybe it is better the dead stay dead.
Lina's eyes flicker with the questions swimming through her head, but she says nothing.
