A rattish, filthy little child dressed in rags skips to the blackboards and fastens a message below the others. He walks away immediately, merrily flipping a copper coin and catching it. The message was pinned up sloppily, but the handwriting is particularly neat. It reads:

Ich fordere die Bürger der Stadt auf vorsichtig zu sein und besonders im unsicheren Umland und auf Reisen in andere Städte für gewissen Schutz durch Begleitung zu sorgen...
Anzutreffende Ritter der Grauen Rose und Wachen der Stadt sollen hierzu dienlich sein und deswegen angesprochen und gefragt werden.
Weiterhin sind auch streitbare Frauen und Männer willkommen, die für Ruhe und Ordnung in der Stadt sorgen und die Bürger beschützen wollen. Die Ritterschaft oder die Wachen bezüglich eines Beitritts und Ausbildung zu kontaktieren kann jedenfalls nicht schaden...
Informationen zur Ergreifung von Wegelagerern, Dieben, Mördern, Dokumentenfälschern, Erpressern etc. sind uns mitzuteilen und werden je nach Güte sicherlich auch entlohnt.

What a strange opinion of freedom you have, mister Collector. May I quote a line from your silly guild paper? "We search endlessly for those who do not accept the ways forced upon you by others."
Tell me, what are you doing? You say the current government invadet the town and you think you can free it and help the people when you rob and kill them? Aren't you forcing, too? Did you ask the people whether they want to be freed? Your Collective is nothing more but a joke, since you can not even stick to your own invented rules.
Go back to your farms or into the tavern and start an argument with some drunken ones, where you probably come from.

It's hard to analyze an entire idea from one or two sentences. Questionable means are needed to gain things sometimes, I'm sure many within the southern town know this. The questionable means are being used because socially acceptable means will no longer function. It's also good to see Lennier himself running to defend his reign, which is slowly releasing from his grasp.
Once the fools back down, there will no longer be a need to force anything, and things will be like the way we describe our ideas.
By the way, are you somehow implying farmers and tavern-goers are somehow less than other people?

It is always the nature of malcontents to skulk in shadows and strike soft targets. You speak of liberateing the southern town yet liberation of the unwilling is simply a polite word tyranny. Take a walk through this town you offer freedom speak to the people you suppose to aid you will find your ideas and methods equally unwanted. Of course you knew that allready, grand words to mask petty crime and veiled threats.
