Checking character name ? Could that by my log in issue ?

Hello,

My account has been accepted, and ive made my char, and i got the following message "checking Character Name ( this could take up to three days )

Ive installed the direct x up to 9.0
Ive installed the game with no desktop shortcuts
Ive read everything i could find on why i would be haveing trouble.

Yet i still go to black screan when i try to log in. I dont get any error's and i can see the little curser turn into a hand, but thats it. After that its all black. Now, ive read that to get the most efficent help possiable i should give my computer specs. Okay. here you go, i hope this helps.

Graphics: VIA/s3 Graphics Inc. Chip type s3g 3259 ( internal )
Music : Realtek AC97 Audio ( internal )

No firewall as far as i know, however i admitt, i dont know how to check for that.

Can someone please tell me why im haveing trouble?
Do i simply have to wait for the Character Name to be checked? ( but honestly i dont think thats it, if it was, i should still see something...shouldent i? )

Ive just tried to log in, and again its totally black. I can see the cursor change into a hand but thats all.

no errors popped up either.

I do believe that the server is down. It'll be back up as soon as the person responsible has the time to look at it. In the meantime, enjoy the boards, read Moonsilver and make sure you're fully aware of the rules which can be found at the homepage.
