Character control - This is bizarre

The strangest thing just happened to me today. I was chatting with my friend Angho about some mindless ooc stuff and I lost control of my character. My character said "Youre so annoying." and proceeded to cast 3 spells, all of which failed. I want to know what is going on here, this has happened once before too, when I was just starting in Illarion. Please explain what is going on here. Can you log into the same character at the same time? If that is the case, I think someone must have hacked my password..Oh! Another strange detail is my body turned into that of a human...I don't know if it was only apparent to me or not, but this is pretty creepy....Is my character being possessed? If so...I feel like a retard right about now.

where you in a building or anywhere like that...cus it might have been someone on the other side of the wall...typing your name like "rahgnar says: your annoying" but if your on theyre side of the wall or roof...it comes up "Damien says: rahgnar says: your annoying" as for spells im not quite sure an the char movement they could push......

Rahgnar, that wouldn't work. If you noticed, everything someone actually says appears like this:

Astral says:
You are so annoying.

The wall thing would look like this:

Astral says: You are so annoying.

I think the difference is pretty obvious.

Another thing, in the text part of the screen, all real messages appear like this:

Astral: You are so annoying.

Opposed to the impersonating way:

Astral says: You are so annoying.

As you can see, it was not the wall thing. The closest thing I can think of is if you were standing under a roof and someone else was standing directly above you. Other than that, I dont know what happened.

PS: I dont know of a way to log in twice, I dont think it is possible.

actually what rahgnar said could be right, you can talk as other people, well impersonate them really. This is very annoying if the impersonater is immature and uses foul language or something of that sort. Now for the casting spells part, I can not answer that for you Cain, you are positive you did not cast spells earlier and they didnt happen for a few minutes because of lag?

i can show you online sometime....it gotta be a wall withought a window though.... i noticed that but yea the roof thing...an no astral i dont think you would ever say that....i just couldnt think of anything else LOL

@Astral: Of course you can tell the difference of the wall thingy and a real "possession". But can a new player who has never seen it before? Does he look for the "obvious" details he wouldn't suspect, or does he just read without carring about a different format of the message?
I suppose the spells were the same (typing "you form silent words with your lips"), not realizing that there is no cloud to show the fumble.

Ok, if he is under a roof, it is possible. For some reason I got the idea he wasn't

About the little "fumble", does this also show as you doing it when someone is on the roof above you? It is quite possible, although I have never fully explored strange roof occurrances before

I never checked out the roof thing either, since I don't play. But when I do a bugfix I will have to.

it is possible that you were affected by a variation of the logging in as another character bug, maybe while you were logged on another person took control of your character and preced to fool around with it while they could.

Just a suggestion.

No, the "logging in a different character"-bug was caused by two internet connections between server and client in former days. Now there is only one.

hey mate trust me, that same happened to me when the cave war started i kept saying "you hear a deafening scream from a demon cave" and i found out it was drahken trying to get attention and made tons of spiders beholders and demons in the demon cave and was using me to get everyone, so i killed him along wit my friends.
