I propose that the "skills" list is taken off, completely. The showing of skills, as suggested by Arkadia in another forum, encourages or urges the player to powergame with his character in order to get him/her to high state of skill.
If players could no longer see the skills for his/her character, but rather, say "I simply do this and that," there would no longer be need to test the technicalities of the game in order to find what would give higher skills. Powergaming would be very, very hard to do this way. There would no longer be mentioning of shades of red, bar level, etc.
And hopefully, older players will have free reign in becoming masters and deciding what their apprentice must do to get better in something.
Like in real life, the only way to find out if you were actually good in something is to actually do it. Nothing more.
Needless to say, that means the books in the libraries entitled "Self Awareness" would have to take the boot as well.
Please respond well.
