This happend to my friend also, and the only thing we have in common is the game Unreal tournament.

Lol.. would Outlook 2002 have anything to do with the deletion of notepad? I doubt it.... I was playing Unreal Tournament, and i downloaded "gamespy" to play against other people... but i think gamespy is worthy, and not "virus-giving"....

I thought I heard it has spyware/adware. I suggest using spybot s&d, ad-aware, and free virus scan from trend micro.

I use them all regularly on a weekly basis.

Okay, i did spybot. I've heard a lot about it, and i think it's good.
However, I am a bit concerned that it might delete some important system files. OH well, too late now.

Same thing happened to me... And no, SpyBot hasn't deleted anything important in the year or so that I've used it. Just a whole lotta spyware!

Go to your Add/remove programs thing and click on add/remove windows components. Then just choose Notepad from the list, and install.

You might need your windows disk in when you go to the Add/Remove programs.
