Teleportin

Post by Nilo »

This is probably more of a graphic type thing, but I'll put it here because I want to propose it too...

When you mention magic, the majority think of Fire, levitation, teleporting, etc.... I propose that we put teleporting as a magic spell. True, there are many reasons to not have it, but it would be nice, and would bring more people to magic spells :D

I made a graphic for it, which is my avatar... Okay, so don't laugh...

I think Dyluck found out how to teleport, or his character did anyways, but then he quit Illarion or something...

I don't really see a need for it with the island being so small. But if it were to be introduced the cost should be heavy. All mana used and no objects transported except those worn or those held in the hand. A possibility of not ending up anywhere near where you thought you were going to, would also be nice.

Agreed. Even though, I would rather see this as 'static' magic. I.e, A mage could only teleport himself from any place to certain pre-defined areas, acting as 'landing-sites' or something. It would be more desirable, because I would find giving the co-ordinates as rather clumsy and akward method.

I dont agree, cause there is to bad opinion you can join with.
And sorry, but I think that your Char isn't a good played one. And you would be one of the first who will use this spell.

befor anyone gets telaport other than GMs . I think that you shuld be able to do something with 1/2 the efect . like a hast spell that only speeds up movement not agility . but even 1/2 way there is a big posability of it being abused . in both cases a archer mage could not be caught by a mele based charicter . therfore gaining invulnerability till his mana potions run out .

Don't people already abuse things?

Yes but that's no reason to give even more things to be abused. Just because people starve doesn't mean we should kill them because they might die anyway.
