Report proposals and Bugs / Vorschläge und Bugs melden

Post by Estralis Seborian »

(Deutsch weiter unten)

Fellow Illarionites,
we'd like to ask you to submit all bugs, feature requests and proposals after discussion on this board directly to our development platform "Mantis". Here is a brief "how to...":
  1. Create a new "Mantis account" at http://illarion.org/mantis/signup_page.php This account is not connected to your game or board account. Please chose a user name that developers may recognise so they can get in contact with you.
  2. Log in with your username and password (again: not the game or board account!): http://illarion.org/mantis/login_page.php
  3. Click on "Report Issue"
  4. Chose the project. In case of doubts, chose "A new ticket". A developer will sort your ticket into the correct project.
    • Client: The program that displays the game, plays sounds etc.. Does not control any ingame features.
    • Database: Constant values used by the game (item stats, spawn coordinates,...).
    • Graphics: Pictures of tiles, items and characters, to be displayed by the client.
    • Homepage: The Website of Illarion including all web tools.
    • Launcher: The small program you start to pick the Illarion application you want to launch.
    • Map: The visible map (tiles, items) of the game.
    • Mapeditor: A developer tool to modify the map.
    • Scripts: All ingame features such as crafting, fighting, quests, magic,...
    • Server: Core functions of the game (communication, walking,...)
    • easyCompiler: A developer tool.
    • easyNPC Editor: A developer tool.
    • easyQuest Editor: A developer tool.
  5. Fill in the necessary information to the following form. Just "Category", "Summary" (a heading), "Description" (the description of the feature) and "Severity" are necessary. Files (screenshots, documents etc.) can be uploaded, too. Only change other fields if you know exactly what you are doing.
    • Feature: New features that are not in the game yet.
    • Trivial: Small bugs that can be fixed by changing a single line of code or one value.
    • Text: Typos, grammar, bad language.
    • Tweak: Change of an existing feature.
    • Minor: Bugs that pose an inconvenience.
    • Major: Bugs that affect the game significantly.
    • Crash: Issues that cause the client or the server to crash.
    • Block: Issues that prevent further development of Illarion.
  6. By clicking on "Submit Report", your report is submitted and a developer will assess it. Please keep in mind that developers cannot read your thoughts and hence, need a rather concrete description of what you have in mind! The following status are used:
    • New: The ticket was not yet reviewed by a developer.
    • Feedback: There are open questions or the need for input. This status is also used when testing or proof reading is requested.
    • Acknowledged: The ticket was reviewed by a developer. If it is a bug report, the bug was not yet reproduced. Feature requests are not yet decided about.
    • Confirmed: Bugs are reproduced and shall be fixed. Feature requests are considered beneficial for the game and shall be implemented.
    • Assigned: This ticket is actively being worked on or in queue to be worked on by the assignee.
    • Resolved: Work on this ticket is completed and the fix/feature can be tested on the devserver. Do not use this status to indicate that there is a solution available as e.g. pull request.
    • Closed: Closed tickets are either live on the game server or it was decided that no action is necessary. Do not use this status before the feature/fix is live.

Liebe Illarioniten,
  3. Klicke auf "Report Issue"
  4. Wähle das entsprechende Projekt. Wenn du dir unsicher bist, wähle "A new ticket".
    • easyCompiler: Ein Entwicklungstool.
    • easyNPC Editor: Ein Entwicklungstool.
    • easyQuest Editor: Ein Entwicklungstool.
    • Text: Rechtschreibfehler, Grammatik, schlechter Ausdruck.
