Treasure Hunts Successful!

Our House Members and allies have successfully completed a number of challenging treasure maps. Special thanks to Teptoc for providing maps, and Vern for navigating. We will hopefully do more soon.

Alchemy Trade Agreement

We have made an exclusive trade agreement with the alchemist Ufedhin to provide warrior potions and healing potions, and whatever others may be required. House members are directed to contact him with orders, or see me and I will order them. Ufedhin will sell to our House and the Sea Serpent's.

As I write this, there is a man in Galmair who is being detained from leaving that town, presumably under threat of punishment, as if he were some common criminal. This man is a friend to many in Cadomyr. It has been said that he has succumbed to madness. I visited him earlier this day to check on his status. While he has lost some of his memories he has all of his faculties. He can take care of himself and seems stable.

It seems odd that such harsh restrictions would be placed upon him. After speaking with the detainee I have been informed that a major justification for his detention is to prevent him from interacting with a member of this House because they are "trying to cause problems between Galmair and Cadomyr". I have confirmed with other Galmairians that the use of this justification seems to be true. The actions of a member reflect on us all and this is a serious accusation, and one I find quite ludicrous. Many of our closest friends are Galmairians and our House is currently the most proactive in forming trade deals and trading magic gems with Galmairians.

Therefore it only seems appropriate that the following happens:

1) The evidence is to be provided to myself, and proper action to be taken if required. If the evidence is not presented, or is weak in nature, then the individual who ordered the detention is to retract this accusation and apologize.
2) If the noted concern is the only reason left for keeping the detainee under watch, we ask he be given his freedom of movement once again.

I have confidence that our ambassador to Galmair will find a speedy solution that is acceptable to all.

Apology for Recent Mistakes

I would like to apologize to those in Galmair who have been effected by recent actions that were done out of rash emotion and not reasoned thought. One of my members confronted a man outside your gates regarding a matter with his romantic interest. I am sure any of you who has loved someone understands the anger that can come from it when you feel that love is threatened. What that man did was not right, I have no control over that. But neither is what we did. I accompanied Mr. Lono to make sure nothing physical transpired between the men. But words can be just as harmful. This is a kind of mistake that we won't be making again.

A letter is delivered to Fooser. The handwriting is sloppy as though scribbled down in an angry rush, but the signature is familiar.

I know that I'm abandoning you at the worst possible time and for that I can only apologize. Perhaps my absence will serve to calm down Galmair tempers. I never thought that I would have caused House Stonescale so much trouble. Where was their righteous indignation when Sarai took Finley? All it took was the manipulations of one slippery lizard to light Galmair on fire. I know that you owe me nothing, in fact, that I am in your debt, but I beseech you take vengeance on all who are accountable.

I must go now across the sea to the Albarian coast. Chaol has captured Finley and plans to steal her back to the Moreau plantation where undoubtedly they will sell her off again. I am away to extricate her and take my revenge, or at least punish those guilty should I be too late. I will carve out a road of blood in Albar paved with Moreau bodies and should Cherga herself block my path I will cut her in twain.

Shall I survive I will return and pay my debt to you in full.

Find enclosed a refund of your gold and Finley's letter. Use the latter if you must to prove Chaol's guilt and assure all that our actions were righteous. It's not right that I didn't tell you all of this in person, but I feared that you or someone else would try to talk me out of this.

I don't have much time to write this. Chaol, or some of his business associates have ratted me out. His uncle knows about my contract being ripped up. He claims that you never bought me, but stole and freed me instead, saying that he is still the rightful owner of my contract. He says if I don't come back, I'll forfeit my contract, which means my parents need to serve the remainder of my time. I can't let this happen. I'm going back home with Chaol to Albar. But I'm not intending to comply or stay. I'll get my family into safety and then I'll fight my way back if I have to.

I'll be back. And then I'll be happy to listen to your 'I told you so'.

Official Report

Today Brawndara Pain and his subordinate entered the Queen's realm, stalked her subjects while they were sparring, and attacked them at the most opportunistic moment with a mixture of bottled oils and fire. Startled by the breaking glass we stumbled aside towards the fish merchant and I went to retrieve my non-wooden weapon from the gate depot. We were pursued and Starling was cornered by Brawndara outside on the wall above the ladder while the other Galmarian stayed below. We were falsely accused of poisoning the Commander and then he began to beat Starling with his weapon. I exchanged blows with the other attacker before ascending the ladder. Brawndara was sent to Cherga and his ally was pushed back outside the city into the desert and then back to Galmair. They are currently banned from entering the Queen's domain. Should our Commander or the Ambassador require witnesses they are: Fooser, Starling, Fredericus, Thomas Dalenus, and a kind stranger who helped put the fires out, though I don't have a name.

It should also be known that Keva discussed her plots with others but with no one from this House. Based on those who have visited her she has gone insane and has even pledged loyalty to Brawn. She has been removed from our ranks some time ago, I should have stated this sooner.

We have a new potion supplier, he has given me a price list with what he can make and has awarded us a small discount. I will disperse this price list to everyone and they are encouraged to order from this individual. Their potions are better priced and infinitely higher quality than our last supplier.

There are a lot of correspondences floating around regarding a truce between House Stonescale and the Galmairian Army. I would like to clarify the matter to all and finally put an end to this nonsense that has drained plenty of time and resources. I have sent the terms to end hostilities to all the Galmairian chancellors. It is up to them and the Army to see it approved and enforced to their liking. But it shall be known that these are the terms we intend to stick to and any aggressions henceforth will not be of our doing.

• All orders from both sides to attack members of another faction outside of their town will cease.
• In the interest of trade, travel, and communication, only those individuals who committed violence on the other factions land will be subject to bans from those lands. The following individuals: Vern Burnhammer for Galmair, Brawndara Pain and Aeris for Cadomyr. It is expected the two Galmairian attackers will be banned indefinitely when the Court votes on the matter.
• The Queen has agreed to strip Keva Bran of her citizenship for her numerous crimes. Among them: Treason, Slander, Instigating War. The Queen has requested Keva appear before her to hear this judgment. She may be escorted to and from the Realm by Galmair. If Keva Bran is seen on the Queen's land beyond this appearance she will be subject to an honor duel to the death by the lizard Fooser for her slander.
• The matter of Lono's threat is to be considered settled and his name cleared. Miss Reena has paid a sum of gold in the name of his debt and I have issued an apology for his actions.

Initial reactions from Galmair suggested these terms were agreeable and I will assume it is so. We will abide by these terms until or if they are broken by the other side. The House would now like to get back to doing our business. We have a number of alliances and trade deals in the works. We will be assisting House Sea Serpent in gathering materials for a Temple to Zelphia. We will continue regularly scheduled training and map hunts and hope to recruit a few more select individuals into our ranks.

Lono has returned from his rescue attempt with Miss Finley. Both will once again be considered one of our own.

Duel Results

A duel was requested of Mr. Lono due to his perceived impropriety by Brother Ssarney. The duel was conducted with Fooser in place of Lono and Fooser won, ending the issue.

Alliance with the Howling Band

House Stonescale agrees to the alliance written by The Howling Band, a group of migrants from foreign lands who have recently moved to this region. We will assist them and they are to be treated well. They may consider these terms official.

This letter once signed by both parties is a mutual agreement between House Stonescale of Cadomyr and The Howling Band tribe. These two entities are resolved to unite their efforts in mutual defense and each to the other's prosperity. They therefore agree to the following:

• Neither party shall act against the interests of the other, in public or in private.
• In the interest of mutual defense, both parties are obligated to come to the aid of the other party when called for.
• House Stonescale will arm the tribesmen and women of The Howling Band.
• House Stonescale will train the soldiers of The Howling Band and make them combat fit.

• House Stonescale requests that the barricades outside of the gates be taken down. The threats by Galmair were done by a selfish man with no respect towards the elected chancellors of that town. Leaving the barricades up is unwelcoming and a waste of resources at this time.
• We have recruited two new members: Cidyl and Kauljin.
• Regarding Keva Bran: To call this person a petulant whore would dignify their existence far too much. So I will no longer acknowledge them as a person at all. You may sit for the rest of your life and think upon the complete inconsequential nature of your existence and your failed attempts to begin war between the peoples of this region. I will not duel you, you will be ignored, and now that you are finally banned from Cadomyr it will be incredibly easy to forget you.
• Teptoc requested to leave the House since he is now ambassador to Runewick. This request was originally accepted but was then denied. He will remain a member forever, even after his death, and there is nothing he can do about it. It should also be clear that he represents Cadomyr as a diplomat and not our House, and I expect others to respect that fact.

Starling has been given Quartermaster duty by the Queen to update our flat/home rental situation and collect proper rentals. It may take some time to update the rentals, I expect everyone to give her your cooperation.

Make sure his name is known because he died fighting for her majesty and fer Stonescale. Let him eat an drink freely in tha mess halls of Malachin by night and fight tha hordes of tha bone lord by day in Malachin's army.
