Krunk's Discovery

Post by Oxi »

Notices are put up around Galmair by a young dwarf who yells at any passer-by to open their eyes and have a look at what the 'Mister' wrote because it's important.

Citizens,

For those of you unaware, Krunk discovered a body far from Galmair, that had been made to look like that of the Proctor. Advanced testing by Galmair's expert researchers, conducted as the man was treated, led to some interesting findings but much is still unknown. Only the Don himself was able to reveal the unconscious man was not our dear Proctor after all and the unfortunate individual had to be burnt after succumbing to his condition.

Our actions have been delayed to ensure we were prepared for Mas but we must delay no longer or more evidence may be lost. On 04. Mas 40 12:00 a dedicated party will be led by Krunk to the site he discovered the body.

By that time I hope all our researchers will have studied all they can and will have made arrangements to accompany us. Please send me word if there is anything you will require for your studies at the site.

A strong, organised guard is also requested as the experts must be allowed to work unhindered. Please bear in mind though the town must not be left undefended at this terrible time.

Oxi

P.S. If any speaker of the old language can translate this and add it below it would be appreciated... time is short and I'm taking the next watch on the wall so cannot find a translator.

Kyre stares at the tiny parchment she used to get just a drop of the blood from the wall after all left to burn the Proctor that wasn't the Proctor murmuring to herself obviously quite distracted.

Well, Ufedhin indicated something about slimes and blood but I wonder also about the mages of Gobaith and their constructs. What exactly were constructs made of, those things that dissipated by the next day? Will this drop of blood dissipate as a construct? On the island, you could save meat, get thread, get wool all from constructs and it wouldn't disappear like the construct. It would make sense some parts like ashes, clothes and things may stay but would blood? Wouldn't blood dissolve as a construct would?

Grabbing an old scroll, Kyre begins to read avidly and whispers the words placing emphasis on each...

A construct is formed by assembling or combining parts, it is created by systematically arranging ideas or terms, something formed or constructed from parts. Mages could create constructs using mana though once the mana dissipated, so did the construct.

Looking up from the scroll, she unconsciously taps her long red nail on the table staring at the candle flame as it flickers..

I wonder if a construct could be made from anything.. including spiders? Yet.. a mage had to make a construct near, it may be difficult to move it once made. Would a mage need to see something to copy, perhaps even the real thing such as the Proctor?

Kyre sighs..

All speculation, maybe we need to develop a ritual to find out more?

Placing a parchment on the board written in ancient...

Ideas for rituals are needed from mages.

Galmairian Magic....

Post by Kyre »

It took a circle of all citizens, some not even realizing they had mana yet mages used that circle to bring up pictures of past events. Shadow pictures made using the mana channeled by mages..

A drawing is placed on the parchment:

A journal is placed below...

We need everyone's perception of those shadow pictures in order to study it carefully, including the magical arrows... please add your thoughts in this journal.

* In the early hours two of the morning two figures can seen whispering and pointing, as they discuss what they see before them. One figure is a shorter woman with red hair the other a tall Elfess with her long brown hair tied back in to a pont tail. As the woman looks over the arrow she looks back from time to time to the check and see if the elfess is writing in the book.

Every so often the Elfess would hand the woman a few different style arrows, a few know feathers collected from the trees around the lands. With the sun already set in the morning sky the two head off to rest after the notes and observations added to the journal. *

This is the current observations of the Ancient arrow from then shades appeared, below are the joint thoughts of Miss Evie and myself, Raina.

After looking over the very old, arrow one can see it comes from a time of long ago.

The fletchings seem to be made from some bird but one has not seen a feather like when compared to the ones used in common arrows or wind arrows. Even the Troll archers arrows still don't come close to it.Where they use poison tipped arrows. As you look to the shaft of the arrow it is made from a from a wood not from the lands it has the look of maybe yew or holly.

When placed side by side with a with all these arrows, Only one seems a close match but still doesn't come close. When your finger is run down the shaft of the very old arrow a slight magical power can be felt, Almost like in the wind arrow but still slightly different in a way it doesn't at like a wind arrow.
So it predates the Wind Arrow's creation at least by that standard making possibly made with a pure air and some unknown magic.

Without shooting the arrow we can only guess as to the enchantment or blessing this arrow has,
As for any other observations till we learn more on who or what the Shades were , it is best not to use the arrow or place blood on it's tip or shaft. For reasons of creating some kind of curse or worse yet portal in to plane where one does not wish to go.

Maybe more can be learned about the Ancient arrow from the Shades themselves, The Races they appeared as maybe be an important clue to it's age and possible orgins.

These are just a few things we noticed with the arrow.

Miss Evie, and Raina.

On a side note this maybe better suited for a new journal location as not all mages have Galmair's type of ink allowing them to add entries..

(( maybe better in the RP forum since you are only suppose to join the town board you belong to. ))
