Looks like all of our current screenshots are jpgs now though.
Maybe because of file size? I am not sure. Nitram would know...

All screenshots are stored in jpg with low compression simply for the file size.
The slightly higher quality of png is not worth the increase in filesize and loading time. Also screenshots do not require the advanced features of png like the alpha channel. So its fine to use jpg.

So, someone has to change the first post, I don't have the necessary rights:
4. Save the image in uncompressed JPG format preferably.
