What is entrails used for now?

One gathers plenty, but there seems no good use for it.

Right now they are only good for making sausages. We need to either find another purpose or reduce their drop rate. I meant to get this into mantis but real life has interfered.

Why not using them again for Yarn? then we have two purpose for entrails. Yarn and Sausages.

Originally entrails where meant as a representation for all that remains of an animal, if you take away meat and skins.
So it also stood for sinews and such which can be used for sewing.

that was the reason why one could make yarn from it.

Let us make silk out of entrails

Nah, it would be cool to have thread from entrails back though, but I guess that would mess with the balance of future dev plans in regards to how many sources there will be in the vicinity of each town and the wilds, of each resource.

I am sure we could find some new uses for entrails. Turn them into a few new items. Waterskins perhaps as a tailoring item. Sinew instead of thread for leather armor. If we actually had a use for musical instruments besides text spam, use them for making bagpipes (not the Scottish kind, more like a Hümmelchen aka German small pipes). I am sure there are other uses for animal innards besides what I listed.

How about the idea:

if your tanning leather and weaving skill is solid, you can use sib and entrails again to make thread.
