so I was in fairy dance thing today and it said a fairy dropped a pure air southwest of me... I couldn't see it at all. do they appear where the blue flashes are? about how close do they appear. just for further notice.

Same happened to me the first time I encountered it. Yes they usually appear near the blue flashes, usually within a few tiles of them. The direction given can be a huge help, but the elements can be very tricky to spot.
