I am stuck

Post by Illal »

I'm stuck in some walls. The mummy is gone and the dwarf won't let me back out. How do I jump?

Well not a very descriptive situation you've given.. but to jump, click and hold onto your char, and move the mouse to any square next to yours, and release the button. Shazam, jumping has commenced!

Sorry. I just started playing.

The jumping thing won't get me over the walls. Nothing happens.

Um. I'm in a rectangular space surrounded by grey crenellated walls and a grey bubbly looking wall. There's mushrooms.

I got put here by a NPC and I ran away from the green man cause he was hitting me. The green man(mummy?) is gone and the NPC won't talk to me.

What do I do?

Ah, I think you are in Noobia, the beginning island. If this is correct, after you have killed the mummy you should have been teleported back out of the area.. If this is ~in~correct, well I don't think I can help, and you'll have to get a GM, maybe

If the green man was the mummy, I ran away from it and it disappeared. Nothing has happened since.

I think I'm on an island?

How do I get a GM?

You could try logging out then back in.
As for finding a GM, you could type !gm <message> ingame, but that is not a very good method.. probably send a private message to a GM here on the forums would be better. I would try Flux, he's the only one I can think of right now with my limited brain (and I'm kind of tired too).

By the way, you can click monsters and NPCs and it should tell their name

Also: If you're in Noobia, you can just start another character either the same as the one you did or different, and start in the mainland.

Alllllright

I logged out and back in. It set me out of the area and I had to fight the mummy thing again. I killed it and I think I'm pretty much done for the night.

An hour and a half is a pretty long time to wait for a bug response and, honestly, from the ten minutes I've actually played, this game isn't worth that kind of wait.

You had rather unfortunate timing.

Our devs are all currently working hard on the update we're working up, which just leaves the GMs. You posted this at 1am my time, 2am Zot's time, and Randnar's a bit preoccupied presently.

I do wonder if you got knocked back into the wall by the mummy perhaps. I've not heard of something like that. Noobia needs mucho reworko anyhow.

It's even worse if you're forced to take a year off like I was. It's the same as being a noob, except people know your char and expect a bit more from you... better still when you have a new pc and lose all your names and maps (that's when you rp having been gone so long on the mainland that your char can't remember things  )

It's the "keep newbies around"-behaviour, don't worry, it'll wear off :P

So true. originally i played a little bit, got confused and quit.

then i randomly played again and had to forcibly remove myself from the game a few times so i didnt fail out of school.

(Which is kinda why i'm not around much right now. But i hope to fix that soon!)
