playing on a different computer

Post by PurpleMonkeys »

Didn't really know where to post this.. oh well. :?
If I play on another computer other than the one I usually use, will I still have all my skills/names/etc., or do I lose stuff?

You'll still have your skills, items, etc. since they are stored on the server.

Your map data and names, however, are stored on your side. To keep these files, simply copy the data from Illarion's folder (Probably at My Documents\Illarion\YourCharacterName) and move that into the folder on the new computer. This will ensure that your maps and names remain up to date.

Skills stay, names go bye bye. I think the map goes as well but I'm not to sure, make a copy of the names and paste it into the other illarion folder thingy and that'll sort the names out me tinks. :)

eg. what that fast bugger said

You can zip/rar them and upload them somewhere, send them via email, put them on an USB stick

What I do is copy them onto a blank CD to transfer them.
