Wondering

Post by orgis »

As I know the priest magic ain't gonna get here for a wee while. What would really be a suitable defense for a priest? Bows, swords, maces or indeed the ol' magic itself.

Any hints would be welcomed :)

If you learn magic, you won't be able to learn priest magic later.

If you use weapons, well, you know what battle mages are like.

You could just.. not get into fights.

I guess a staff or mace would be fitting for a priest to break some walking bones, but don't expect to beat any trained fighter with priest attributes. Also heard priest magic will come after the VBU, so you have a lot of time to practice weapons, should you want to. The defense skills is what is more important than offense for wizards, so I guess they can't be totally useless for a priest as well.

It depends on the god you are following.

A skeletons' asses kicking swordfighting Malachin priest is fine in my opinion.
A rabbits hunting and deer slaughthering Siranis priest...not so

It would definitely be an interesting char if the priest followed two conflicting gods! :D

I'd arm a Sirani priestess with a horn and leather armour...

Thanks Vel, great help :D

Also yeah, I understand that depending on what sort of patron God you follow would kinda give you a hint on how to behave with different things.

Thanks for the tips folks

A priest of Bragon would go most probably for fireswords or similar weapons which involve fire. Like...a torch :D

p.s. a sirani priestess could wear black leather and a whip ;)
