Not gaining slashing xp on Gnolls

Post by King Udan Trollbane »

I've been training on goblins forever, and I get lots of slashing skill and a little parry and dodge. against Gnolls, which are stronger, I get NO slashing skill but lots of parry and dodge. Whaaaa...

This is what will happen the higher your skill increases. There will come a time where it will take two days to get one swirlie (longer or shorter if you are less of a pger/more of a pger), this is intended because it means you have to work harder to master you trade.

Now like most will suggest you should find out how to train your character ig... with another pc (player character). The reason being is that if you really were your character and you weren't learning anything from fighting gnolls you would be screwed.

In other words your character needs an ig Tutor, but I hope I shed some light on your problem.

How is this a FOIG matter?

When you get to a certain level you no longer gain experience from certain monsters.

Go find a harder monster if you want to continue gaining levels. Most people go for the demon skeletons after gnolls. They will take you all the way to 100 (given enough time).

Learning how to train your character should be FOIG. Understanding that the skilling system won't give you 10 swirlies a day after a certain point is for the newb board.
