Smashing stones

Do you really have to use a static tool to smash stones into pebbles?

Sort of an annoyance more, but where do I break the stones? (What static tool do I use?)

Use the chissel. Not the hammer.

But I already used a chissel, bought from the dwarf in Silverbrand... then it said I needed a hammer to break the stones. ?? Do I need both?

Yes.

You must have both the hammer, and the chisel in your hands.
