I was curious if this is intentional, and not sure what the function of them are, a bug?

Really have no idea what they are, but one of my characters visits them from time to time.

*pouts* Now they're gonna disappear...

PS: they're even cooler looking at night

Its a relict of a quest which happend there some time ago.

Ich will remove it from the map with the next update.
