How Do You register for Illarion?

I really want to play Illarion but I do not know how to sign up.
How do you sign up (register)?

also, how do you generate your character and where is the character generation at

Download the client in the download section and unzip it into a directory. Start the client and click on "create new". Enter all data and then click at "create". When the status bar below says a character is created, you can start by clicking at "ok".
Right now no further approval is needed to play Illarion.

PS: Remember to choose a fantasy style name
