Stuck on Chapter 3 with Caranthir

Alright, I picked Caranthir on chapter 3 and got Dax to join my party....And now i'm just completely lost. I honestly have no idea what to do next. Think any of you can help me out?

Talk to the people in front of the inn and then talk to the dwarves guarding the eastern town entrance. They should direct you to go check on some other entrances, and then eventually check on someone suspicious near the marketplace.
