Board Rules:

The regular rules of the Illarion forums apply here as well. I am open to most comments and posts, but I ask that you try to post spoilers in the appropriate thread for each Chapter. You are free to start new topics about anything if you wish, but please add [Spoiler] in front of the topic title if necessary.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

Where can I download Legends Of Illarion?

It is available for download since April 9th, 2009. Visit the download/installation thread.

What is Legends Of Illarion?

(Short Answer)
Legends Of Illarion is a single player rpg game similar to old SNES games like FF6 or Lufia. It was created using a program called RPG MAKER 2003. I have been working on and off on the game for about 5 years now.

What is the game's story about?

The story of the game is mainly based on historical events and characters of Illarion from its early years starting around 2001, although many story elements and characters from later on are also included in a supporting role. Many more recent and current elements of Illarion will also be alluded to throughout the game.

Specifically, the main story is about the early heroes of Troll's Bane and their war against Drakhen Vorkalion during his very first arrival. The story will then also branch off to an all new storyline involving secrets and plots about the gods of Illarion.

Do I need to download RPG MAKER 2003 to play the game?

No, everything needed to play the game is included in the download link. Simply follow the installation instructions provided.

I want to make my own game. Where can I get RPG MAKER 2003?

RPG MAKER 2003 is not a free program for download. Do not ask for or provide links to this program, as such posts will be deleted. Search using google if you are interested in obtaining information about the program.

Should it realy be possible to post here, using just a guest account?

Wouldn't it suffice to keep a thread for the game instead of the forum,
especially after other sub-forums have been removed some time ago
which offered IMO more valuable content about the game (Backgroundstory p.e.) than a forum about LOI?

Troll's Bane has many things moving around at the same time, so yeah it lagged just slightly for me 5 years ago while working on it. But today's computers should be able to handle it :)

So, I have a silly question. I downloaded this game at computer x, which soon will be out of my reach. How can I play the game, with the file on computer x, on computer y? As in, I download everything, but I want to have this game on that computer?

...

So you put a banana in fridge A which is in Scotland.

Then you want to go to Mexico and eat that banana by opening fridge B that's in Roberto's kitchen?

Shit man, we're only in 2009.

Thanks for that. Really.

Now that I looked, I am guessing the file I want to move is pretty clear to see, I just hadn't looked all the way. Save01 = transfered

I thought that it'd be quite obvious that you burn the folder with all the files onto a cd.

Nah, you use Waninkoko's new cIOS and use his dumper to dump the files over wifi, burn to a DVD and load in Backup Launcher Gamma.

No! No! You attach the flux capacitor to the device and tell your past self to buy computer Y instead of X
