There appears to be a rumour going around about the incredible amounts of rumours going around that are rumoured to be rumours and might indeed be rumours, providing that this rumoured rumour about rumours is true.

Also several people might have heard about an apperantly outlawed orcess that has slain 3 bountyhunters who decided to try and collect the gigantic reward of 10 gold pieces.

((A note to players. This topic was originally for GM use only, but we eventually let players use it. However, recently, the rumours have gone down-hill. Not only have they become stupidly specific, but they have also become detrimental to roleplay.

A suggestion: Start including sources for rumours, as well as keeping them vague! They should be rumours, not highly accurate news reports.

An example:

An old woman that walks the streets of Troll's Bane tells all that she can that she has seen an unusual pillar by the Lake of Adron.

This is something along the lines of what we want, as opposed to highly detailed factual stories. If you want to start something like that, start your own topic.

The alternative, if rumours do not start improving, is that this topic is locked and that rumours will only be posted if we approve them beforehand.

This is more work for both you and us, so please, put some sense into your rumours.))


((Eine Anmerkung für die Spieler. Dieses Topic war eigentlich dazu gedacht, dass nur GMs hier posten, jedoch haben wir es gelegentlich auch von Spielern benutzen lassen. Wie dem auch sei, seit neuestem sind die Gerüchte völlig verkommen. Sie sind nicht nur zu spezifisch geworden, sondern schädlich für das Rollenspiel.

Ein Vorschlag: Beginnt damit die Quelle des Gerüchts anzugeben und haltet sie vage! Es sollen Gerüchte sein und keine extrem präzisen Neuigkeitenberichte.

Ein Beispiel:

Eine alte Frau geht durch die Straßen von Trolls Bane und erzählt jedem, dass sie eine seltsame Säule an Adrons See gesehen hat.

Das ist ungefähr das was wir wollen, im Gegensatz zu den genau detaillierten, sachlichen Erzählungen. Wenn ihr so etwas posten wollt, dann bitte in einem eigenen Topic.

Sollte die Gerüchte sich nicht bessern, dann ist die einzigste Alternative das das Topic gesperrt wird und Gerüchte nur geposted werden können wenn wir sie vorher genehmigen.

Das wäre mehr Arbeit für alle, also bitte bringt wieder mehr Sinn in eure Gerüchte.))

Borgate trocknet einen Bierkrug ab.

Der junge Zwerg zuckt mit den Schultern, steht auf, reicht Borgate einige Münzen und verlässt die Taverne ohne dich zu beachten.

The Young dwarf shrugs, stands, hands some coins to Borgate and leaves the tavern without noticing you.

Wanderer berichten von fleißigen Vorbereitungen in der Norskborg die von heiterem Gelächter begleitet werden. Scheinbar wird ein Fest vorbereitet. Ein junger Krieger und eine junge Frau scheinen im Mittelpunkt dessen zu stehen.

Ein Handelsschiff brachte das Gerücht zum Hafen, dass in Grynk eine Seuche ausgebrochen ist. Diesen Sommer sollen die Mücken, welche auch das Sumpffieber bringen, in solchen Massen aufgetaucht sein, dass sich die Sumpfländer in die Außenbezirke der Stadt zurückzogen. Sie brachten das Fieber mit, welches sich dann soweit ausgebreitet haben soll, dass auch die reicheren Bezirke bedroht sind.

Schiffe aus den westlichen Gewässern berichteten, es seien dort viele Piraten unterwegs. Besonders in der Region um Mitsobar und Falmarha.

Ein Weinhändler aus Salkarmar erzählte das die Trauben dieses Jahres süß und saftig sind. Er meinte der Wein würde ein Jahrhundertwein.

Ein Schiffssoldat erzählte, dass in den Ebenen von Serin viele Banditen ihr Unwesen treiben. Noch sollen sie sich aber nicht in die nähe Zwergenstadt Ironsiege trauen.

Es heißt, dass ein Frachtschiff aus Grynk Unmengen an Getreide am Hafen aufgekauft hat. Im Namen des Stadtherrn von Grynk sollen noch zwei solcher Schiffe unterwegs sein um Nahrung aus salkamarischen Häfen zu holen. Die Große Seuche soll über den ganzen Herbst gewütet haben. Der Grund dafür war schlicht weg die Masse der Leute die am Sumpffieber erkrankten. Die medizinische Versorgung war vollkommen überlastet. So heißt es sogar das die Bezirke der Reichen nicht verschönt geblieben sein.
Wenn alle Gerüchte stimmen, und die kamen nicht nur von diesem Frachtschiff, dann war Grynk in der Hauptzeit der Seuche unter Quarantäne und sowohl am Tag als auch in der Nacht haben die Leichenfeuer gebrannt.
Nun da die Zeit des Regens begonnen und da die Seuche alle Produktion der Sumpffarmen zum erliegen gebracht hat, soll die Stadt vor einer Zeit des Hungers stehen. Mit den Einkäufen wird wohl der Stadtherr versuchen dagegen zu wirken.

Die Piraten sollen einen schweren Schlag bekommen haben. So berichten Schiffe aus Mitsobar und Falmarha, dass aus Falmarha einige Kriegschiffe es geschafft haben die Hauptschiffe der Piraten aufzumischen. Es heißt sogar, dass man den Anführer der Piratenbande gefasst und hingerichtet hat. Sein Leichnam soll an einem der Masten seines Schiffes gebaumelt haben, während man das Schiff abfackelte.

It is said that a bulk carrier from Gynk bought a plethora cerials at the local harbour. In the name of Gynks Alderman another two ships are on their way to get even more from Salkamar. The pleague is told to ravaged throughout the whole autumn.
The reason for this has been the sheer number of people being taken ill by the swamp fiever. The medical care has been completly overcharged. It is said, not even the town quarters of the rich have been spared.
In case all rumors are true, and those not only came from this single bulk carrier, Gynk has been under quarantine during the pleagues hight. At day as at night, corpses were burned.
Now with the beginning of the rainy season and the fact, that the pleague has tied up the swamp farms output, famine is feared. By buying loads of grain the Alderman obviously tries to lessen the hardship.

Obviously the pirates got hit hard. Captain and crew of several naval vessels of Mitsobar and Falmarah tell that a few falmarian man-of-wars managed to either enter or sink several ships, even the pirates flagship. It also is told, that the leader of the pirates scum got cought and executed. His corpse is said to hung on a mast when his ship was scorched.

A rumour quickly spreads through the town like a wildfire, that Governor Cromwell was struck down by a bandit just outside of Trollsbane. The rumours says he is unconscious, badly wounded and resting in the seahorse.. constantly guarded.

The thunderstorm continues to rage over the northern forest. Torrential rains batter down anyone willing to go near. In the shadows of the woods are animals, lurking, peering, waiting for a chance. It appears the whole forest is bent on revenge, and it is not safe to go anywhere near for now.

Ein junger Halbling hat hier und dort erzählt das er den Elfen Nalcaryos von
Weißhafen beobachtet hat wie dieser versucht hat einen Gegenstand zu
verzaubern. Nalcaroys sei daran gescheitert erzählt er weiter, aber wie
genau so hört man verschiedenes. Manchen hat der Halbling wohl gesagt es
sei gar nichts passiert, anderen das die Explosion die der Fehlschlag
auslöste Nalcaryos fast getötet hat.

A young halfling said here and there that he watched the elf Nalcaryos von
Weißhafen while he tried to enchant a object. Nalcaryos failed at doing this
the halfling said but how exactly is not sure. The halfling seem to told
different versions at different locations such as nothing happend when
Nalcaryos tried it or that the explosion caused by the failure nearly killed
Nalcaryos.

Geschwätzige Seefahrer berichten, das immer öfter Sirani Priester und Priesterinnen auf dem Festland verschwinden. Niemand scheint zu wissen wieso oder wohin. Manche meinen das sie ihren Glauben in Sirani verloren hätten, andere sind sich sicher das irgendwer sie verschleppt.

Es gibt außerdem ein Gerücht über einen Kult der auf der Suche nach einem seltenen Artefakt ist. Aber laut deiner Quelle, scheint das nur eine Schauergeschichte zu sein.

Chatty seamen tell you, that some Sirani priests went missing on the mainland. No one seems to know why or where to. Some say that they just lost their faith in Sirani but others are sure that someone abducts them.

There is also a rumor about a cult who is seeking a rare artifact. But judging from your source, that is only a story to scare you.

In Vorbereitung auf die Resultate des kläglichen Versuches von Troll's Bane sich gegen den Prinzen aus Salkamar zu wehren haben sich die Händler der Stadt in die Bibliothek zurück gezogen um dort Schutz zu suchen und nicht ausversehen in diese so sinnlosen Kämpfe verwickelt zu werden.

Alle Händler haben sich dort hin zurück gezogen. Alle? Nein. Einer fehlt! Borgate hat sich im Keller der Taverne verbarrikadiert und verteidigt dort die Biervoräte der Fluffy Sheep Taverne mit seinem Leben.

In preparation on the results of the pitiful attempt of Troll's Bane to stand against the prince from Salkamar, all traders of the town went to the library to find security and protection there and not avoid being hurt during the useless battles.

All traders hide there now. All? No. One is missing. Borgate barricaded himself in the cellar of the Tavene to defend the beer stock of the Fluffy Sheep Tavern with his life.

Walking through Troll's Bane in these times of war might have you pick up some odd rumours. Some of the people mention archduke Kazzxs as a traitor, others imply that he was abducted by someone! There are also people who whisper about the nobles, of whom some might have already pledged loyalty to prince Anarius of Lonewood.

Rumours are what they are, rumours. But some of them might actually have a core of truth within them. In these strange days, it's hard to know WHAT to believe.

Jeder Bewohner der Insel wird das Unwetter in dieser Nacht bemerkt haben.

Einige Tage später erzählt Euch ein Wanderer von einer Ruine, die er gesehen hatte, als er auf den Sirani Insel herumspazierte. Vielleicht haben die Fluten etwas ausgespuckt?

Ein anderer Wanderer hat in der Taverne von einer Ruine in der Wüste Kumdahs erzählt, und davon wie er fast von einem Monster in die Tiefen der Wüste gerissen wurde. Hat ein Sandsturm vielleicht etwas preisgegeben?

Das dritte und letzte Gerüch, das Euch zu Ohren kam, war jenes vom einem Zwergen der es gewohnt war in der Mine Varshikars nach Rohstoffen zu suchen. Er erzählte euch, dass er eine unteridische Stadt mit schrecklichen Kreaturen gefunden hatte. Genaue Auskunft wollte er jedoch keine geben, er schien einfach zuviel Angst zu haben.

Some days later a wanderer tells you of a ruin he disovered while strolling the Sirani isles. Maybe the ocean has released something.

Another wanderer has told in the tavern of a ruin deep in the Kumdah desert and how he almost was sucked into the sands by a monster. Maybe a sandstorm has revealed something?

The third and last rumor you heard came from a dwarf who usually digs for resources in the Varshikar mine. He told you that he found an underground city inhabited by hideous creatures. He refused to tell more, probably because he was too frightened.
